The Baton Rouge Airport picked up 1.49 inches on Sunday.

Also, over 7 inches of rainfall fell in Baton Rouge since May 24th.

No there have been regionals that have gone into Tuesday in the past.

i just remember there being something posted prior to the regional starting about who wins if games can't be completed. and there was a rule for each stage of the bracket.

That's pretty bush league for UNCW officials to lobby to cancel last nights game. I hope they get run out of the stadium today after that.

Where in that link does it say UNCW requested and was granted the postponement?

It was stated on The Morning Drive that UNCW requested the postponement and it was granted.

What time did their game end Friday night. I will say it's pretty unlucky to have your 2nd game of a double header start at 10:00 at night after playing late night games the prior 2 nights, but that's not LSU's fault. Plus, it's not like they had to wake up super early either Saturday or Sunday.

Unless you think your kids might be tired, then apparently you can request a postponement.

Turns out it had nothing to do with rain. UNCW requested it.

Which obviously begs the question, why the frick did anyone care about their request? Glad the teams in the loser's bracket dictate terms to the regional host team in the winner's bracket.

representatives of the Wilmington athletic department requested a postponement from the NCAA after that decision was made for the Tallahassee regional.

Those BASTARDS!!! LSU has every right to be mad. The team ought to be playing with a bit of attitude right now. Maybe put a little "gorilla ball" on UNCW?
