If we got them for SECCG no way guaranteed for the big game, right?

I am trying to remember how deep into the PP system they went in 2007. I was slightly below 3000 and remember being concerned. The following year I threw some $$$ at TAF and Janie told me in October I should be in good shape for 2 for the BCS game. I still got crappy seats for Atlanta.

Are you talking about TAF points or ranking?

gotta be ranking ... no one has 3000 points ... at least I would't think so.

So when he says everyone below 8000 would get 2 tickets---do you know how they determine who gets more (if requested)? Must be some type of rank/cut off point.

If anyone got tickets that can't make it, please let me know. Apparently my father-in-law forgot to put in for some.

Seems like most people got nosebleed seats.

My parents got 2 seats in Section 306.

BCSNC game got 60,000 requests for about 7,000 tickets. the cut off point will probably be pretty high

Although I think I heard that our allotment went from 15,500 to 17,000, I don't think there's a chance in hell that someone with a ranking of 8200 gets a ticket.

I seem to recall the cutoff somewhere in the low 3000's in '07. So if you add 2 tickets for the 1500 extra, that would get you to 4000 rank, maybe.

Each school should get more than 7,000 tickets to sell.

I think the number was around 17,000 or so last time, but they'll all be taken by high dollar TAF members.

Its 17,500 tickets.

And the 60,000 requests is one of those numbers that looks cool, but I know people that request 20 tickets, even though they only know they are getting 2.

I don't have the breakdown, but I believe they allowed 12 tickets for the top 100, and up to 4 through about 3000 and then 2 for 3000-4500.

If they keep the same structure as they did for Atlanta, look for the number to drop but not by that much.

If you do the math with the ticket breakdown for Atlanta, it looks like 3700 tickets go to the top 750. That leaves 13,800 for the remaining season ticket holders, coaches, players, staff, and students. If you allow for half of the remaining to go to season ticket holders (6900) and divide that by 2, you get 3450 more season ticket holders get 2 tickets each. Assuming every season ticket holder requested tickets, that puts the TAF rank somewhere around 4200. And I have no idea how many tickets are actually allocated to season ticket holders vs students, staff, players, coaches, etc.; but this seems like a pretty reasonable guess.

Also, for comparison, the total number of tickets given for the SECCG by the breakdown above is 18,600. That doesn't include students, coaches, players, etc.
