Went from this is the year to. Etling and guice in the backfield, and Dupre might get passed on the depth chart if he's not careful. Aranda slowly installing his defense with the anchor of it needing to get in better shape. So is 2016 now a tune up year for the 2017 season?

I know, but you don't think this has a rebuilding year vibe to it already? We haven't really hit the ground running

Nah, it seems our offense skipped the entire offseason and picked up where they left off the '15 season

No. It's either a championship year or bust and next year will be for "rebuilding", depending on whether we bust or win this year.

We obviously skipped the 2016 offseason as far as offensive improvement goes.

Look at our collective expectations for 2016 that we had for months and that we lost just a mere couple of weeks ago.

Anyone who's not sick of this same old "next year" crap with Les, at this point, is a detriment to the program and a nuisance in the fan base.

Honestly I wish we would just play like back yard football at this point. Raw talent without organization might do us better

No we lose a ton of players after the season. SEC Championship or but this year

I don't see anyone talking about next year, minus OP. I think everyone is on board with this being Les' put up for shut up year.

Next year should NOT be for rebuilding...look at our recruiting classes over the last 4+ years...the only reason any of us still have it in our heads that we need to be rebuilding next year is because we're used to NOT having our players developed over the off season.

If our arch rival wins the SEC West this year, we should all be livid, and we should never talk about having to have entire seasons that are labeled as rebuilding years ever again.

I'll be honest. Watching the JaxSt game made me realize that's pretty much what the future looks like.

Didn't feel right not seeing LF on the field and LSU fans will miss the hell out of him when he's gone.

Considering the talent we lose, you bet your arse it'll be for rebuilding. This is the year to get it done or make a change at the top.

Yeah, about how it will be for rebuilding and how we won't nearly have the personnel we have now. Not about how next year is "the year".

Look at our roster...it's filled with 4 and 5-star talent. Other teams seem to be able to pick up the slack in regards to getting their inexperienced players the needed experience and playing time. We can't do that, for some reason, so we're stuck here talking about having to go a full season (at least) without contending. This is unacceptable with the way we recruit. We're wasting so much talent and effort.
