Considering the talent we lose, you bet your arse it'll be for rebuilding. This is the year to get it done or make a change at the top.
I agree with the change part and I'd be fine with doing it right this second and not waiting any longer. But there is no way in hell that we shouldn't be a contender next year, too. Les is causing us to sell our program short with his continued ineptness.

LOL. Who is that? Arkansas? All of you that still compare LSU to Bama are living in a dream world.

We've played 2 games. I'm not encouraged by any means, but goddamn. Let it play out a LITTLE bit.

Minus losing boat loads of early round NFL talent, yeah totally.

No, it's Bama...and it's this way specifically due to recruiting. We're both after the best players nationally, year in and year out, and we both finish at the top of the recruiting rankings nearly year in and year out.
The only difference is coaching, and this is why you're talking about dream worlds. If we get the right guy to replace Miles, we will instantly be right back contending with Bama on the field, as if we aren't right now, anyway.
No chicken littles, please...this is too important of a time for the program for spineless, wimpy LSU fans to be hindering us anymore than they already have.

I have to...no choice. But I would've made the change back in November. Last weekend's JSU game did even more to make me think Les needs to go.

You can be sarcastic all you want...go look at the roster. And why isn't Bama rebuilding this year, man? Hmmm.

Me too.

Because they have better players and coaches.

I disagree with the first part...I would say they have marginally more depth across their roster. Their starters weren't ranked any higher than our starters...go back and look.
As for the second part, it appears they have better players because of this. They are better at development and then winning, plain and simple.
We're a home run hire away from being NC contenders year and and year out...the way we thought we'd be with Miles, only to hit some retarded internal road block every single fricking season.

So did we completely skip the 2016 season?
Yes. We skipped it last November when King Alexander shut down the process that would have helped make it productive as a rebuilding year, but it was never going to be a great season under any circumstances.

So is 2016 now a tune up year for the 2017 season?
Unfortunately, no. We will lose a lot of personnel after this season and we will be going through a coaching change, so 2017 is shaping up to be the rebuilding year under a new coach that this year could have been. While anything is possible, I would not expect a good season until at least 2018, and even that would be surprisingly early.

Newsflash, genius. We're not.

Yes, yes. It's the realists that are hindering LSU.

Our recruiting rankings are misleading. It's going to take a while to get our OL and DL rebuilt. And we are still apparently at least a couple of years away from having a good QB unless Etling turns out to be the answer.

No, we aren't right now.

There is literally nothing any fan, or group of fans, could possibly do to hinder us as much as Les Miles and the LSU administration are already. As for chicken littles, are we still chicken littles if the sky really is falling?
Obviously, the program will only decline further if Miles isn't fired, but even if he is, it will take a while to rebuild it into a powerhouse, and even that is only if we get the right coach to replace him.
It's been a hell of a party, but unfortunately now it's time for the hangover, and it's going to be a doozy.

Other teams seem to be able to pick up the slack in regards to getting their inexperienced players the needed experience and playing time. We can't do that, for some reason, so we're stuck here talking about having to go a full season (at least) without contending.
A full season? As in just one? We haven't contended for an SEC West title since 2012. Since 2007, we've contended twice. In eight (now nine and next year will make it 10) years. Twice. We're way past complaining about going ONE season without contending.

This is unacceptable with the way we recruit. We're wasting so much talent and effort.
Yes.
