Would have been a back breaker to this program? I remember during the recruiting cycle thinking that if we don't land Fournette that would be the beginning of the end for LSU as a program in this modern age. I stick by that statement.

That would have been something we wouldn't recover from for a long time. I would probably have PTSD from that day as an LSU fan.

It would have really really hurt our program for sure.

I don't know about the begging of the end for Program, but it would have put a lot of pressure on Les. Idk what our play would be this year without fournette.

NO. We are run happy right now because of Fournette. We've always been, but never have we had a goto player of this caliber. So perhaps we would have run a good bit but Harris would have been forced to throw more....and maybe with good results.

We'd still have quality football players coming to LSU but I'm glad he's in Baton Rouge and not in Tuscaloosa.

Think about about games that Fournette won us last year? We lose the Ole Miss, Florida, and more than likely the A&M game.

although fournette is the best running back that I've seen in quite sometime, I thoroughly believe that lsu would still be 3-0 right now with the offensive line blocking like they do and guice, brossette, and Williams carrying the ball.

If LF had of ended up in T-Town, knowing and seeing what we've seen of him so far, the melt would have been epic.
I'm glad he is on our team.

Missing on Mett would have been worse.

2for5 was the best day for lsu recruiting in miles' tenure

We dodged 3 busts, 2 of whom are tpos, plus we landed a heisman, gentlemen, and a scholar in LeGoat7 and the best safety in the recruiting class in JA33

fournette was a program sustaining player.
could you imagine him at alabama right now? it would kill me to see him running wild for them out of our own backyard.

I'm not just talking about the games he's had but that would have killed moral. Absolutely murdered that recruiting class aspirations, maybe we don't get everyone we did if Fournette goes elsewhere

Good thing about Bama is Kiffin is anti-RB as a play caller. They have a beast there now that he refused to lean on.

That's what I mean missing on him...would have just doomed this program to dark times. I understand this game is not all on one person but in this case that would have been the nail in the coffin for LSU.

Who were the five again? I don't follow recruiting that closely and can't remember.
