it's not a dumpster fire though. with les going forward I expect around 3 losses a season and a mid tier bowl.

I actually don't next year, they don't have a QB on the roster who I think takes over and does as good as Coker has. I think Alabama actually loses 2 or 3 next year.
I'm a big Saban fan, I think he retires in the next 4 years, I believe he is now the 3rd oldest CFB coach.

3 losses? If you had said 2 sure, but I doubt LSU loses 3 next year or the following. If they do then maybe it is time to get a new coach. However, if you get a new coach you better hope he is an upgrade.

Yep agreed. This is not dumpster fire territory; Texas A&M is in dumpster fire territory.
It is, however, extremely aggravating and below our expectations as a program.

I don't. I think they'll be right back in the playoffs. the amount of turnover in 2015 was supposed to down them.

3 losses in 2016. Ole Miss. Bama. Arkansas.

LSU is not going to fire les miles for losing 3 games.
Going 9-3 doesn't get you fired at LSU.

So you're suggesting 11-1? 10-2?

No such thing as we are young. If you're LSU every year is the year. And this season they really should have been there. They were off to a great start with Fournette running extremely well. But once again you have to hold in your emotions and not destroy anything because you now know that Miles just cannot beat Alabama, who's team this season was imo not as good as last seasons. They lost two top playmakers on offense in Cooper and Yeldon.

Wisconsin and Alabama are the only games that would concern me.
Arkansas is losing almost their entire offense
Ole Miss is losing their best defensive player, OL, WR, and the QB.

Both of those team will be in the position LSU was this year.

Their defense was a hell of a lot better than last year's group. The offense lost 60 YPG in the passing game but their rushing numbers stayed the same.

On offense they kept the bulk of their OLine, they replaced the QB with a 5th year senior in his 3rd year in the system, the replaced their RB with a Heisman winner, they lost Cooper and did not replace him but they had some talent still there.

Another negative clown who couldn't find his way out of a dead end street. How does LSU get all these guys into the NFL if they are not being coached up.

Well it has come directly from at least 1 NFL team that LSU players, while having tremendous raw talent, were very poorly coached in college.

Any season, any team can have excuses for an underperforming season.

Bama last year had a hobbled Reggie Ragland and a crop of DB's that hadn't panned out.

If 2016 LSU loses any of their key pieces, they're screwed. Anybody but Beckwith at MLB or Godchaux at DT, and there is no viable alternative.

Could 2016 be a special season? Absolutely. Is it a "make or break"? Absolutely not. If not 2016, maybe 2017 depending on how this crop of recruits turns out. LSU is a very good team. Miles runs a good program. Championships are very hard to come by when you play in the toughest division in football. All of these things combined are a perfect recipe for several years of "next year is our year". It's the nature of competition. Learn to embrace it.
