Simply "thanks for the memories" would have articulated the feelings around town.

Many, but not all, millennials have no sense of history. I'm sure the kids in charge over there figured Miles had the most wins, since he was the only coach they knew.

But give proper credit. I called them and told them their sign was wrong and it was Cholly Mac who is still LSU's all-time winningest coach.

Well the workers there were probably born when Les first joined the team.

Mac and Miles were similar, players would die for them, won a lot of games, cought the bouquet a lot, I'd give the nod to Mac over all, given what he had to work with, but now's not the time to go down that rabbit hole again

And I'm sure you know it was a "millennial" who did it, right?

Les has the most SEC wins of any LSU coach, just not total wins.

Also has the highest win% of any modern coach. So he did win most often...

Then again, I shouldn't exclude coaches of yore lest I be painted as one of those millennials who doesn't respect history.

There is so much fail in that quote. You Miles nuthuggers are the worst. The dude was driving us down a spiral, but "overall wins" is the only go to y'all got. 19-10 record last 2+ yrs. 4-5 last 9 games.

Your hero was given an unceremonious exit. Ahhhh, the sweet nectar of your tears.

Trying to paint me as an apologist for Miles is more than a little bit of a stretch. At the end of last season I said he deserved another season to turn it around. He didn't. And he's out.

I'm simply pointing out for the purposes of the OP deriding whomever put up the sign, there are ways to parse the words so that it's sort ofaccurate. It's in jest and is certainly not meant to be taken seriously.

However, your glee and revelry in the fact that a good man and a good coach was given his "unceremonious" exit (regardless of whether it was a warranted dismissal) is a reflection of how pathetic you are.
