but you do know those aggie types are stat lovers like you and you probably are going to initiate a "stat war" with them.

Bout the only stat of importance with A&M in the last 4 yrs. is LSU 4 and A&M zero!

Wonder how much longer they stay with their 5 mil. a yr HC?

Was kinda hoping that the Aggies would have been up by 5 with less than 2 minutes left and LSU had the ball on its own 9 yard line just so the Aggies could have gotten the full Chavis experience

Thanks Speedy. This brightened up an otherwise dreary morning.

down from No. 1 last year with the guy this thread is intending to bash.

also took LSUs best position group , DBs, and they went from 3rd passing D, to 45th!!!! and dont tell me "jalen mills was hurt" because Mills didnt even play that great anyway.

while we're talking #STATS for the #SteeleCurtain

45th scoring defense at 24.0 (!!!) points allowed.

t-84th in tackles for loss.

t-91st in turnovers.

and my personal favorite.

LINK

115th (!!!) in Opponent Red Zone Conversions.

now please, tell me why Steele should be here as DC.

Yeah lets do this...

SEC rankings:

Scoring defense - 10th
Total defense - 5th
Rushing defense - 5th
Passing defense - 8th
Passes defended - 12th
TFL - 10th
Red zone defense - 14th (LAST) - Allowed TD's 71% of the time which is double Vanderbilt and Mississippi state.
Opp 3rd down % - 8th
Opp 4th down % - 7th
Opp 1st downs - 8th

Scoring defense being 10th and red zone defense being 14th are totally unfrickingacceptable.

Not to mention we faced like 4 backup or 3rd string QBs.

PS --
Love how you put the national ranking for 3rd down defense at 25th when its 8th in the conference and the comment was about our ranking in-conference. Clever girl...

You could try enjoying the positives without constantly being a miserable douche, but I guess that wouldn't be fun for you.

Being positive about Steele is counter-productive to the future of LSU's football program.

He was, is, and forever will be a terrible hire. The entire world outside of Les Miles knew this. LSU usually has a dysfunctional offense under Les and that is survivable with a stout defense like Pelini and Chavis gave us. He needed to make a big hire for DC and didn't. He hired a recruiter.

I'm being a realist, not a pessimist. I actually would love Steele to stay on staff as LB coach, but we need someone who can properly teach our defense how to execute the scheme. They were lost and disorganized the entire year.

ETA:

Are you still mad at me for refusing to admit Les Miles did a good job of developing Jarrett Lee at LSU?

No one is saying ignore it. But this thread isn't about all year, and only someone with a stick up their arse wouldn't get that.

i don't care for Peveto as much as the next guy...but why would he get blamed for a missed field goal?
Or a 40 yd or less punt? He's not the guy doing the actual punting and kicking.

P.S. I don't care for BDP either.

Well, they did have Johnny shite-for-brains for two of those years.

I don't know if that counts as a positive in our favor or theirs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but their scoring drive came on the drive where they didn't review the fumble right?

it was on the long throw that Toliver II was all over the receiver. but it was just one of those throws that fell into the receivers hands.

TD was a short post to Seals-Jones.
