So what coach or team has a better resume than LSU during that same time frame?

Another one that you can add is that Saban coached the only team that shut out their opponent in a BCS National Championship Game.

More homoeroticism on the Rant. I think I've had about all I can take for a Sunday morning.

why would the sec help bama against lsu but not help when tamu and ole miss and auburn and florida and usce beat them.

I agree bama does get some calls here and there.

But we do also.

Also, I think the sec office is happy as long as any sec team is competing for the NC.

BECAUSE, if its the same team every single year. Like USC was. It proves your conference is garbage.

And when Saban got the so called luck you are talking about against the NUMBER 1 ranked team in the country what happened.

HE SMOKED MILES arse.

Not because we didn't have talent, but because Miles couldn't match him with the x's and o's.

In the years since 1/9 Bama has reloaded and got themselves back to a championship with all new players. We have been reduced to 3-4 losses and rushing the field when we beat Ole Miss. It's pathetic.

Saban facing a coach using the same game plan that was used in the previous meeting was lucky too.

Amen. Les deserved COTY award in 2011 for getting us to 13-0, but the game plan for 1/9 was atrocious, nothing more than "we'll do what we did in Tuscaloosa, but hope to do it a little better." Not a single wrinkle or twist based on our experience in the previous game.

That's what kills me about 1/9. It was miles thinking to himself that a coach like Saban would not conceivably have a counter for a move that beat him the last time. It was just

And I hate the positiger accusation of cheering for another team, etc. I'm an LSU fan. Why do you want LSU to lose? See how asinine stupid accusations are?

He's neither lucky nor unlucky. He's just Charles McClendon, a good coach who wasn't as good as his main competition. Both would have had more success if they'd been better coaches or their counterparts at Alabama hadn't been as good, but they weren't. Alabama simply demands more of their football program than LSU does, so they fire coaches for performances that would rate a raise and extension at LSU. Because they demand better, they get better (eventually). The standards of excellence are just different there. That's not luck, it's just commitment to excellence. They have it, we don't. Nothing more to the story than that
very good post, look no further than miles pulling games out his a$$ against ten in 2010 & woo hooing , that was embarrassing. miles is happy with just getting by. miles does not demand excellence, that's why lsu will always be 8-9 win team with an occasional 10-11 wins.

Yes we should be happy with mediocrity wit the talent we have. And we should just accept lower expectations. Maybe you should just be a Texas Tech fan instead.

I hope saban gets bored with winning a title every year that he retires. LSU has the same talent as bama, but bama has superior coaching. It makes all the difference in the world.

No, they don't. Bama has superior talent compared to everyone in the SEC and nationally.

Bama has "better" coaching, not superior.

Point made. Bama and their little runt coach are simply better than LSU/Miles who have been good, not great during the same period.

We get it. Time to move on. The talk of 1/9 has become tiresome.
