What instate teams did we schedule this year? And i guess every one forgets we beat the rose bowl champs, orange bowl champs and bcs champs last year. But ur rt lsu only plays fcs opponents.

Except notre dame. No real cupcakes like Towson of western Carolina on their schedule. I don't like the domers but you have to respect the fact they play no cupcakes.
You don't count service academies as cupcakes? And nd has to keep recognizable names on the schedule if they want their own tv contract.

Here are some of the teams LSU played those years:
1935:
Manhattan (NY)
UL-L
1937:
Loyola (LA)
Northwestern St. (LA)
1946:
Fordham (NY)

1958.......11-0-0......100%.......Paul Dietzel
Hardin-Simmons (TX)
Not researching all of these either, but were they all bad teams? Manhattan in 1935 was a 5-3-1 squad ( LINK) and I think Hardin-Simmons made a bowl that year.
