As long as if we get up comfortably we send the freshmen in and pass every goddamn play. Running the score up is incidental. It's all about experience. Tired of finding out last year's backup didn't learn enough in practice in SEC play.

Running a score up if you have taken out starters should NEVER be seen as a bad thing. Teams SHOULD do this if they are capable.

It serves two purposes. 1: it gives those guys a lot of experience and confidence. 2: it shows that the team has depth in those positions.

Exactly. This isn't about Brennan. This is about getting all the freshman a shot, and more so on the defensive side. The coaches want to watch Brennan against Phillips, Delpit,Chaisson and Stevens.

There could be a lot of answers to this... They could already know they want to redshirt him in order to get the knee as healthy as possible. They could have already seen enough to know he's not a legitimate option this year. They could have already written him off completely. I don't think this tells us anything other than Narcisse really isn't in the picture at the moment.

There could be a lot of answers to this that have nothing negative to do with Narcisse.

Etling may not be at 100%, and they're seeking multiple options just in case.

Brennan may just need the reps so coaches can evaluate how fast he can develop.

Coaches may want everyone involved in getting reps before deciding who gets red-shirted.

There are multiple reasons for doing this, many that don't reflect negatively on Lowell.

He's not healthy and hasn't played a lot of football the last two years.

The first part not sure how true, coaches had no problem with him when he practiced in spring, the second part makes a lot more sense.

Little concerned about the message it's sending that they keep talking about getting him so many camp snaps and nothing about Lowell
why does this concern you? Who said it all has to be evenly distributed.

They saw Narcisse in the spring

If he's good enough, I see no problem with getting him ready as fast as possible. Josh Rosen threw for 320 ypg and 10 TDs in 6 starts as a true freshman for UCLA.

Josh Rosen didn't have SEC West defenses breathing down his neck.

Brennan is going to be the future at QB.

Hopefully Narcisse can fully heal and run some package stuff down the road.

He has a long way to go.

King Narcisse is still recovering from the double knee injuries, can't read defenses yet and has been an inaccurate passer in practices.

Not nearly ready to see the field at QB for LSU.

Brennan is already a light years more advanced passing QB. O knows this and so does Canada. That's why he's getting snaps early.

Miles is long gone. "Quick Feet" aint gonna get you the LSU QB job any longer.........

So Brennan has played a meaningful college snap, and by the way the league Brennan played in in high school in Mississippi is considered a cupcake league.Brother Martin played these guys last year and beat them very easy,42-7 Brennan was 19 of 35 for 246 1td,all I'm saying is this from my eyes and what I saw me and a handful of recruits fathers was Etling took 93%of the snaps in spring practice Justin nor Lindsey didn't get meaningful snaps.I saw Lindsey go on a 11 play drive and threw a td to drake davis,i saw Lindsey escape out the pocket and save drives then scored.I'm definitely not campaigning for no qb to be the starter but in this league the qb gonna need to know how to escape the pocket and save drives this is the sec west where dt de can rush the passer.

Semjackass (BRAVEHEART) nee Imperial Wizard, nothing you say about LSU football should ever carry any weight. You are a psycho racist fool. You continually label LSU's African American players as lacking intelligence. Actually anyone who spouts the racism you do should be banned from an LSU site that supports a team that is predominantly African American. Like you were banned when you were the super racist fool BRAVEHEART.

And the league that Lindsey Scott played in in high school was considered the meat grinder's league, defenses shredded QB's, yet Scott won MVP overall in the state.

Lets just let the chips fall where they may and the competition play out on the field, before belittling any LSU QB. Is that okay?

comparing stats on the 2 is pointless considering one sat out most of his junior and senior years.
