You idiots are completely missing my point. Everyone in the media, including ranking systems, judge coaches and teams based on their season record. 8-3 "looks" a lot better than 6-5. My point was just because we went 8-3, doesn't mean we IMPROVED from last year. None of you can honestly say we've improved as a team. The only improvement worth mentioning is LF and the offensive line in the first half of the season. Overall, we have not improved and that is on Miles! Next year, as like this year, we WILL have the required talent and experience to win a NC. I'll bet a paycheck it doesn't happen(and for the smartasses, I'm a software engineer, my paycheck is higher than yours).

Haven't missed it at all. It just a completely stupid point. We could just have luckily won all our games this year. Trying to take away from actual results is stupid.

agree with you on that. Every year, there are games that can go either way based on a play or two. It's that way for virtually every team.

Good luck couldn't have won us any of the games we lost because we got blown out of the stadium.

Bad luck could have lost us a few of the games we won.

Those are factual statements.

If Harris doesn't throw that pic to open the 3rd quarter, the Bama game could have been different.

I don't think you know what a fact is.

Of course you dont. Do yoh apply this same logic to other sec programs? Saban is 3 games away from having no titles at bama

Miles is also a bullshite penalty and blown defensive assignment from beating Bama in 2012 and 2014 bur let me guess those don't count as bad luck in your shite on lsu theories.

I didn't. Your tiny little brain can't comprehend the stupidity of your point. It's OK, it's not your fault your parents gave you bad genes.

Well if we are gonna play what if then LSU had a TD called back and a long run by Fournette called back that would have set up another score vs MSU.

I also am amazed how it's always the other teams near miss that matters and ours in the same game are forgotten. Whatever Dude.

Yes. Our offensive numbers are vastly superior to last year. I love how win losses record mean everything wheb your shitting on lsu but wheb the win loss record trends up it means nothing.

I grant that technically I misused the word factual. Good old lunchbox keying in on what's important.

Were not playing the "if any little thing had gone differently at any point in the game it could have been different" game. Thats pointless.

Being in a very close game to the end means you left yourself susceptible to bad luck outcomes.

The teams that beat us didn't leave themselves susceptible to bad luck costing them the game.

The "luck goes both ways" argument doesn't hold water when your losses are by 3 TDs.

Anyway, what difference does it make? The Les lovers proved long ago that all they care about is their final record, no matter how suboptimal the games themselves were. It's less about excellence and more about winning post season arguments on TD.

Now quick lunchbox, cherry pick a sentence that you feel will give you a gotcha moment.

You mean it's more likely that a team from the SEC can't run the conference gauntlet and win at least 14 out of a possible 15 games and win the title?

Really sticking your neck out on that one, bucky.

It most certainly is not but continue to think income means you aren't stupid.

Yeah, the opposite side has been nothing but a picture of rationality.

If it were up to y'all, everyone at LSU except for a few scattered grad assistants in the math department would have been fired already, based on whatever latest blog post got shite up on the Internet.

Blow it out your arse. You try to pass off your BS as fact, I'm going to call you on it. This thread is stupid, and defending it makes you stupid by proxy.

And YET, Miles almost lost his job. I almost remember even some of his staunchest supporters here admitting it was time for him to go.

That should tell you two related things that, on a more honest Rant, wouldn't have to be argued anymore:
1. Record isn't everything, so 82%, I mean 80%, I mean 78%, isn't where the conversation should end.
2. 10 wins is nice, but it's not necessarily anywhere near winning championships and shouldn't be used as a barometer for success

But now that we are a couple weeks removed from unavoidable proof that Les had failed again to create a championship caliber team, we get to go through the yearly apologetics ritual where we are assured that Les really is a top notch coach.
