Didn't go, didn't listen...after watching them tonight I'm surprised we won.

This thread is pretty damn late and random. That being said, I left before halftime.

I am thinking of going to a game next year and leaving after the national anthem. Then I am going to post about it here.

I left right before halftime and I don't regret it. All the people who left early are responsible for Peveto to Northwestern St.

There with my wife and kids(6&8). Wife finally nagged me enough to leave at halftime. When I got up I told her "You're going to make me miss the biggest come back in LSU history. Listened to the radio all the way home and kept saying that. She was in disbelief, now owes me big time because I only go to one a year now days.

As disgusting as that game was, I knew I would be able to see the Bama/Ole Miss games. I would have never left if that was the only game I could have gone to the whole year.

And what does that mean, exactly? You get an honorary foam finger?

I wasn't there but I guarantee you I wouldn't have been sitting there with my thumb in my arse when we were down to a fricking Sun Belt team 31-3. At that time there was no vision of an imminent comeback, or that Troy would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

As a fan, it's my job to show my discontent with the current state of the program by leaving the fricking game.

So you sit up there and watch that bullshite all you want, but don't tell me how to deal with disappointment of that magnitude.

false. that is actually the opposite of what a "fan" does. say you left for any reason besides the score (it was cold as frick) and i guarantee you sound like much less of a dick.

I would have left when LSU was down 31-3.

Because that's how you show your disapproval of a situation.

Yea, noone would has any idea that there's disapproval unless everyone leaves.

Oh, "fan" in quotations. That's cool.

I bet your HD photo of empty stands in the third quarter with a "Disgrace" caption fits perfectly in your shrine of emoticons.

The difference between you and me is not in the extent of fanhood, but in appraisal of the situation. You think football is war, and that you lay your soul on the line and don't pull out until you're either victorious or have your limbs cut off. I think it's a sport - a spectator sport, one that provides entertainment and maintains a standard of competitiveness.

A defending national championship team does NOT go down to a Sun Belt team 31-3, and as that standard of competitiveness was no longer met, I would have fricking left.

It's a sport, man. Yes, I love the Tigers and I'm a fan whether they win out or run the table in reverse, but that doesn't mean I have to "tolerate" a disgraceful performance.
