Not who you actually want to win, but who, from an overall national perspective, would boost LSU more(if at all).
Hypothetically, If college football were still adhering to the old BCS system, which team in this game do you think would benefit LSU the most if they were to win?

Miss St, Auburn is done and has no respect.

Miss State. People are impressed with Auburn win enough. If Miss Stare can be 3rd or 4th in the west, people would respect that win much more.

I think the only result that may hurt the perception of LSU is if MSU blows out Auburn. That would make the MSU win look better, but reduce the goodwill off the Auburn game to nil.
If Auburn wins, or it's a close game either way, then the perception will likely be that LSU beat two decent teams. The closeness of the win at MSU could be attributed to it being the first game of the season and a road game.
But honestly, who cares? If LSU takes care of business, it doesn't matter if Auburn and MSU lose every game the rest of the season minus the winner of this game.

Don't we want Auburn to lose as much as possible?
Considering more of our recruits have been an AU vs LSU battle..
where we really don't have to even compete with Mississippi St as much in terms of recruiting..
Don't we want the state of Alabama to lose as much as possible?
Mississippi St still seems harmless moving forward post-Dak.. and they are maybe the easiest fan base in the SEC to tolerate.. so maybe root for them? Ha.. We definitely don't want Auburn to get good and continue pulling recruits from us in direct competition and Muschamp to actually be a decent DC there..
I just don't know who to root for, but I know I can tolerate MSU more.
In terms of which directly helps LSU this season.. it is probably a wash. Maybe even better if MSU keeps it going considering that was a road win and we will be their only loss.

Being that Dak Prescott is from La., I want State to win. Never will like a Alabama team. Don't like Auburn or OM, ever. We played State close, beat Auburn easy, State needs to win.

Makes no difference to me

Auburn because the ole Miss /State radio show during my afternoon commute is ten times as fun when everybody has the red arse.

Auburn
I live in Mississippi. The Delusion is strong after last year and the sloppy Ole Miss win over the only team they played with a pulse.

Because we slapped AU so badly, it would make us look pretty good if they gained some momentum. If they implode completely, our beat down won't seem as impressive.

Whoever is playing the Gumps.

I want state to win. Mainly because if Sean white goes out there and lights states defence up and beats them then the Auburn fans will drive us crazy sayin they would have beaten LSU if white was qb. So screw auburn

miss st. Auburn has more of a national prominence and would be more favorable with voters should it come down to that at the end of the year. With that being said they both are done
