Could have kept Aranda easily, and our offense would have been better. We took a gamble keeping coach O and hoping to keep Aranda, and pick up Kiffin. We might lose out on all 3 battles. Way to go Alleva

This damn link has been posted several times and has zero substance u moron. Aranda is about to sign a deal to be the highest paid DC n the country. At Lsu. He wants to be at Lsu. He's wanted Oregon to get the job. Lsu isn't losing Aranda unless the NFL comes calling

This may have slipped your mind but Texas was Herman's dream job. That was his first choice. We didn't lose him for lack of willingness to pay him. We lost him because he preferred Texas.
Texas is the better gig. Easier conference. More prestige. Better scholastics. Deeper pockets. Austin is a great city. Don't have to play against the SEC West and the premier program of the SEC East.
Herman wasn't coming here.

Well if Aranda is more concerned with coaching with his old roommate than how much money he makes, or his career/business, maybe he's not so smart.

The article doesn't say anything new for those following the ties between Herman and Aranda. The video though was a very positive endorsement of the hire and how it will impact recruiting in the near future.

Wouldn't have happened. Even if we were to offer him 7M/year Texas would have matched or beat it. He wanted Texas-Texas wanted him. The only way Herman ended up at LSU this year is if Strong kept his job.
