Should Alleva stay at LSU

Even if O proves me wrong, turns it around, and stays HC LSU, is there anyone out there who believes Joe Alleva is a good AD and deserves to stay at LSU ? I am suprised that a rant about Alleva gets 7 insults? If yes, why?

Joe Alleva should have been fired for not doing his duty in searching for Miles' replacement. Having said that, you can't fire him because of that if O turns out to be successful.
That's the gamble he took. He should have to face consequences if he's wrong.

If F. King is not president of LSU then Jimbo Fisher is the coach. It must be impossible be the athletic director at LSU with one arm tied behind your back. In saying that, anyone whose plan B is to hire their defensive line coach as head coach should not have a job in the SEC

Joe Alleva should thank his lucky stars that Will Wade had been eyeing the LSU job since, at least, November, when his VCU team kicked LSU's arse in the Bahamas. Wade (through his reps) reached out to Alleva well before Jones was fire to express his interest in the job.
Wade's friend and mentor essentially confirmed that story by saying the two were running together in the Bahama's the morning after the LSU game when Wade said to him "You know that job (LSU) is probably going to be open at the end of the season."
I can't think of any good hires Alleva made before getting the LSU job. He inherited Coach K at Duke. Fired the successful Lacrosse coach before an investigation showed the rape allegations were a complete lie. He then preferred Karl Dorell over David Cutcliffe for the Duke Football position. Luckily for Duke someone with stroke changed that decision.
I mean HOLY shite! The man has hired 4 major sport coaches at LSU. 2 of those hires were people who literally no other power conference programs even considered to be a realistic candidate.

He should not be fired for hiring O, he should be fired for giving such a huge buyout to a coach that virtually nobody would be banging down the door for. Now instead of having Coach O on a short leash, he is on a lease made of diamonds.

We should have fired JA at the end of 2015 when he had the cluster frick with Jimbo. The new A.D. should have told Miles that if he didn't win the west or have a top 10 ranked team. He was going to be out the door at the end of 216. The new A.D. would have had a year to get his search and new hire on the table and hopefully it would not have been Coach O.
