He literally meddled once and it was for the good because of how bad Canada's offense was...

Are you legitimately this dense?

If true, why'd he hire him? That WAS his whole offense.

Anyway..
Very excited about this team. So far, no obvious weaknesses. Hope the oline preforns like that against Texas, because that's why burrow was able to find so many different receivers

You think that's why Canada got let go?

What about him and his trashy wife getting pissy drunk at a restaurant bar and making a scene... Repeatedly? Enough to get thrown out.

What about his inability to work with anyone?

Orgeron made a mistake in hiring him. He damned sure did not make a mistake in firing him.

Not to mention that the jet sweep may of been the worst thing to run in the SEC. The speed and athletes that SEC defenses have is insane, it may of worked once or twice but that's all.

It's almost like the triple option, a good team will recognize what's going to happen every single time you run it.

There's a video of him trying to start a fight at bistro byrons.

I guarantee O saw the dude making the same mistake with alcohol that he used to and told him to cut the shite.

And that probably went over quite poorly.

2018 (13 games): 99 punt return yards

Is this true? An entire season and LSU only had 99 yards in punt returns? That is horrible. Needless to say I think we have a much better punt return team this season, at least that's the indication from first game. That first return by Stingley was a thing of beauty!

Every punt was basically a fair catch

Giles was afraid to return it, we tried some other people later in the season but it was about the same results as with Giles.

same shite people said before CUM brought his spread to UF. how did that work out again??

that play itself worked many, many times.

keep proving your football ignorance. go tell that to andy reid and the NFL teams that use it. you obviously do not understand football or what that play opens up. horizontal stetched are horixontal strecthes whther done with passes or toss sweeps or jet sweeps. not only do they work they force the D to counter and that leaves them weaker in other areas. Did you not watch those plays while he was here? have you not watched what CUM and GUS have done with horizontal stretches and what they opened up? You really should not be commenting on somethig youa re ignorant about. go back and watch the pro teams who use it. go watch all the florida games when CUM was there. go watch all auburn games. they all used horizontal stretches to open up passes and especially north south runs gouging defenses once he got them spread out. please educate yourself. stop parroting talking points like so many others here. we have enough of them already daily. the same idiots who swear saban cannot coach and can only recruit and do not know shite about his NFL defenses or his record at toldeo.

the same idiots who never watched jimbo prior to FSU and are oblivious to what he accomplished at LSU and auburn.

Can we get action shots of Joe Brady and E in addition to the O stretching pic?

I actually liked the Jet sweeps. He had some good concepts behind it. He still sucked as an offensive coordinator and deserved to be fired. Canada was a cancer and has been every place he has coached at. Look at his resume and lengths of his stays.

O has a history of taking a good situation and fricking it up.

There’s also history showing the opposite. Last year we needed a proven QB and kicker. Check, check.

We needed to update our offensive scheme. Joe Brady. Check.

Let coaches coach.

we would have had a better offense last season, and Giles might have not had his career ruined for him by being put in the spotlight too soon.

Giles melted under the lights - true. But to blame that on O is pretty simplistic. Giles was part of a completely different system, and had been tearing it up in camp. Who really knew what would happen?

Canada was a cancer - not with players, but with the coaches.
Few HC’s put up with insubordination - and Canada has a track record of it.
IMHO, O had expectations of him as his boss, and Canada didn’t like it.
