I think mett was projected to be the 5th qb taken before he was injured

That's where I've seen him projected.

Hopefully the injury will drop him down to a decent team.

Mett goes to St. Louis in the third as they lose patience with bradford. Look for nettto get a chance to play there as BRadford may not be their franchise guy they thought

I'm pretty sure Mett will be quite happy to not play for a shitty team. Sometimes being a back-up on a good team with a good starter is the best thing (look at Rodgers behind Favre and then Flynn behind Rodgers).
This. It would be great to see him get picked up by Denver.

Scouts love that arm though! He makes big time big league throws, without much effort. I think he's round 2 or 3 only because he's the traditional pocket passer. There is not as many teams running the kind of offense that employs his type anymore. However, they love that arm!

I see met coming out of college highy touted, highly thought of and never making it in the pro's. This coming from the biggest Mett fan from when he was in Jr. College.

I think his lack of mobility will be his undoing. I hope I am wrong. Fingers crossed. He certainly has the arm.

Denver, New Orleans, New England

All have HOF QBs that are all going to be past their peak in a few years. He might have to be a backup for a while, but those are great guys to learn from and he has the talent to step in once they retire.

Chicago would be a perfect fit for Mett. He would be protected with an effective running game and RB who can block and catch. He would have possibly the best combination of size, athleticism and hands at WR/TE in the NFL. Their Oline is improved, and he would flourish under their new coach who's a QB developing coach like Coach Cameron at LSU. While I dislike the Bears more than a severe hang nail, I would be happy to see Mett have success in Chicago. Of course the just signed Cutler to a gazillion dollar contract

Often times we expect a lot out of the players on the team, like calling Mett "Mettsiah." We were fortunate to see Mett grow into a true clutch QB, and in my opinion truly stopped the downward cycle that happens to many top tier programs with his growth as a leader who inspired confidence. Since becoming a fan, I've never been more confident on 3rd down and 5+ as I have with Mett at QB, and I can only imagine how his teammates felt knowing he could stand in and make every throw... and usually did.

IMO, if Mettenberger could have participated in the Senior Bowl, he could have propelled himself into the top half of the 1st round. I really hate it that he was injured in the last game of the season.
The "Can do no Wrong" head coach (According to those in the Evil Hoard) was years late in getting a competent OL coach in here. Bad coaching combined with inadequate OL pass blocking/blitz pick up is responsible. That BS of watching Mett crawl off the field without any help from any of the OL's was very disturbing and infuriating to witness.

Only the two teams in the Superbowl, the other team that played in AFC Championship game, and Saints.

He was invited to the a Senior Bowl and only declined due to his injury. Many folks thought he would go anyway to meet the coaches, scouts and GMs like Aaron Murray is doing.

I see a quarterback with a lot of talent that needs practice in decision-making and simple physics. He doesn't seem to go through progressions very well, often holds on to the ball too long, and is mediocre, at best, at throwing long passes. If I were a GM, though, his unparalleled ability to strike with those intermediate 15 to 25 yard passes would cause me to bet that I could make all those necessary corrections.

Seconding those folks who want him in TN. The possibility of him throwing the ball to Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright excites me as a Titans fan. I don't think Locker is the answer, and I know Fitzpatrick certainly isn't.

I have to agree that the maddest I have ever been as an LSU fan was the night of the Alabama game when the OL just looked down at their QB on the ground and then walked off. The first thing I hope Coach Grimes did was show that to the OL and tell them "NEVER AGAIN WILL THIS BE ALLOWED!!!!!"

The whole BAMA OL line thing is growing old. If you watch it carefully, Mett she we'd the one OL player away when he moved toward Mett to help. None of us can read lips and know really what they said to one another. So let's not assume the OL did not care about their teammate. That's ridiculous.
