because if you go into the stadium 1-2 hours before the game starts like i and many other students in order to get decent seats, you are completely sober, dehydrated and tired before the end of the first quarter

Bourbon helps with dehydration?

Some like to abuse their power. They want to act like big shots, because in high school they were losers. I always make a smart comment to cops when they frisk me before entering tiger stadium and all they do is laugh.

Have any of you heard about a possible terrorist plot to blow up sports stadiums in the US? Tiger stadium is among the better known sports venues in this country so the more security the better. Learn to deal with it!!

The least likely place for a terrorist to enter the stadium would probably be the student section, and the cops don't seem to be interested in finding bombs during their search.

I don't think too many people would complain about the student section blowing up anyway

And I guess as a student I'm a member of a dying breed, because I'm there when the gates open, and I don't leave until the band finishes singing the Alma Mater.

same here brotha. i have probably IRL'ed you and not realized it but it's cool cause im not huge on the whole IRL thing i mean i dont go out of my way. in '06 we used to get to the student gates at 11:30 a.m.(right after watching college gameday) for a 7 pm game IOT be on the front row. Now we're slacking and get there about 30 mins before the gates open but still 3 hours before kick off

And with a stupid-arse comment like that, I'm sure no one would object to your house being blown up.

My first order of business is to have beer booth in Tiger Stadium. Let's be real about things. People are sneaking the hell out of into the stadium and 90 percent of it is liquor.

12 oz cups - $5.00
32 oz. cups - $8.00

if you keep your buzz going, you dont feel the effects of being dehydrated, aren't tired, and aren't hungover...me personally, im smart enough to drink some gatorade/water every 2-3 drinks

This. And if the extra security/ basically cavity searches is bc of terrorist reasons, what does that have to do with them kicking you out of the stadium for alcohol and handing you all these sanctions even when you are over 21? i would be fine with them just confiscating the alcohol and letting you go on to your seat provided you can walk and arent causing a scene

There are a shitton of posters on the Rant that would make a better chancellor than the moron we have now.

frick, O'Keefe was a better chancellor, even taking into account the kickbacks he gave friends.

This would be $$$ in the bank for concessions and turn TS into a true nightmare for opponents. Only 2 problems: 1) there would have to be a lot of booths to mitigate the long lines- the stadium might not ever be full for all the ppl in the beer line 2) the SEC will never change their alcohol policy

My solution is to let students have the option of leaving the stadium at halftime to go consume some alcohol back at their tailgates real fast then let them come back for the 2nd half. TS would be rockin and roarin for the 2nd half

Yes, but hopefully Mike Slive's replacement and a crew of fresh faces and minds will see that it coukd severely cut back on the illegal possession and also see it as a gold mine. I really think that if you sell beer in the stadium, then that will be just fine with everyone who has been drinking since noon anyway and who would normally sneak in a flask of Old Charter or Grey Goose. You tone down the drunkards by offering them beer. It's a win-win.

The LSU student section is primarily a bunch of losers and D Bags with a few cool people sprinkled around in it.

I would like to second that opinion. Most of the people on here complinaing about the cops are one of two things.

1. a criminal
or
2. a person who wanted to be a cop and was just too afraid to be one.
