You were impressed by that win over us last year? We gave them the game.

how? They outgained us by 50 yards and had 4 minutes more time of possession. Turnovers were equal.

a team that beat LSU last year

I thought LSU scored the go ahead TD last year as time expired?

According to the media after SEC Media Day, we will finish 3rd behind Alabama and Auburn

Bottom line is no one knows. No one can argue about Bama being the odds on favorite to win the west, but beyond that, who knows.

Tennessee had 18 starters returning in 2016, and were heavy favorites to win the east.
We all saw how that played out.

LSU 10-2 6-2
Auburn 9-3 5-3
Miss St 7-5 4-4
Arkansas 6-6 4-4
Texas A&M 6-6 3-5
Ole Miss 5-7 2-6

Just my opinion

Kevin Steele is their DC.... Why did we get clowned on so much when he was here and now he's great?

Steele wasn't horrible here. And auburn was horrible the year before and Steele fielded a top 10 D. He deserves credit for that.

Who knows how he'll do on the plains, but if we had brought in Stidham in the offseason, we'd be projected #2 (at least).

LSU would be considered a playoff contender and a preseason top 5 team had we brought in Stidham. I don't think you guys realize just how good that kid is.

I remember when we fell out, or just left because of character issues, of the running with Chad Kelly. Guy threw for over 4000 yards, ran for 500 and had 41 TDs his first year at Ole Miss. That is the type of player Stidham is, and he is on a much better team than Kelly had.

Anybody that discredits Auburn's WRs, might as well discredit LSU's WRs. As a group their top 3 returners are all sophomores and that doesn't even include high ranking Nate Craig-Myers. They bring back 4 of their top 6 WRs and grabbed an OC who is known for explosive spread offenses. Not to mention RBs Pettway who had over 1200 yards and 7 TDs in 10 games, Johnson who had almost 900 yards and 11 TDs, plus speedster Franklin who averaged 9.3 ypc on 46 attempts and now sophomore Martin who averaged 7.3 ypc on 44 attempts.

They lost a good chunk of their DL, same with LSU, but bring back everybody except DB Ford on defense. A defense that finished 7th in scoring (LSU 5th), and 28th in total defense.

Anyway, I'm not going to act cocky like the typical LSU fan anymore. I've learned my lesson from last year.

Tennessee also lost a good chunk of those guys before and throughout the season.

How do you think LSU would have faired if they lost;

Key from games 3-7
Beckwith in game 4 (out for season)
Tre White from games 4-9
Fournette in game 7 (out for season) with no Guice is games 8 and 9
DB Thomas in game 9 (out for season)

That's not counting the 2-3 starting OL they lost.

These were just starters. They lost plenty backup players as well,

Hell, LSU was supposed to bring back 17 starters and we only won 8 games with them.

objectively, you can't really argue. everyone knows who our qb is, based on a season. even though stidham hasn't played a down at auburn, he appears to be the real deal.

High hopes for the heir apparent at QB for Auburn? Where have I heard this before?
