The committee claims to go into the selection with key focus points in mind. Whether RPI or Conference standing will have a stronger impact, or road game record vs strength of schedule. I believe they pick the teams and then use those factors as excuses to defend their argument.
Different criteria for different teams. I feel usually for the small conference teams they don't focus much on conference record and want to see a decent RPI and average top 50 record.

What a shitty showing for the LA Southland teams in that tournament though. Had the top four seeds and they all got bounced early.

For a kid who grew up with Alabama baseball in the late 90's, it's depressing. Gaspard isn't the answer, but he's going to get another year.
