The two biggest issues most LSU fans have been concerned about are an anemic pass game, and a defense that gives up big plays in the second half.
Personally, I always thought the passing game had the ability to play like they did on Saturday. It was pretty easy to recognize the way the coaching staff was handling everything. EMU was actually a fluke because of a mental lapse by the receivers.
The defense is going to be just fine. We have play makers at all 3 levels, take away the inside run using only two linebackers, and play a lot of tight coverages. While I don't think we have a true shut down cover corner, most of the big plays have come when they attack a 3rd or 4th DB without safety help. Sometimes it can be scheme, other times it can be things the offense is doing to pull a defender's focus away from the guy they want to target.
