For the past 4 or 5 years, our screen game has been none existent. For a while, I thought it was because we were so run heavy. Because People would line up 8 or 9 men in the box to the run, it just seemed like that was the cause of our inability to break a big screen play. This season we had two 1000 yard WRs and a 3,000 yard passer and we still struggled with our screen game.

Does having a new OL coach improve our screen game? Was it poor execution by our OL that has caused our failure to develop an effective screen game?

yes, I've been very disappointed in our screen game the last several years....the fact that it's basically not even in the playbook has been the most disappointing. What's scary is that i see us getting blitzed to death next season!

Yeah. Even our WR screens haven't worked recently. Maybe the OL are not releasing their man soon enough and getting to the second level. It will very important for us to have this option with a green QB starting.

For hardly ever calling that play, we suck at it when tried, which goes to one thing-Coaching!! Nothing else....

We should be able to call that play in certain situations and make at least 10-20 yards. Our screen plays get busted up fast for -2 to 3 yards....

New oline coach should help more in the rushing game. VTech's rush offense was 109th in the country last season. They were young though.

Our new oline coach is a boss oline recruiter. With his bringing them in and miles/grimes coaching them up we will back in a title game very soon
