Does having a freshman and a redshirt freshman on the inside of the line have anything to do with what happen? I believe that was the main reason and bamas d line where just grown arse men

I was skeptical of Bama fans who claimed their Dline was full of 1st round potentials. I now know they were right because those dudes are filthy.

Only a Oline filled with future NFL starters could have gone toe-to-toe with them and I'm not sure LSU has that.

They were just up against a stronger and faster D Line. Tough game and they were getting manhandled. I don't think age or experience had anything to do with it. Bama was just stronger.

You don't think 22 year olds that have been in the program 4 years don't have an advantage over 18 and 19 year olds? Ok

If that 4 yr player is up against a bigger, stronger and faster opponent experience will only get him so far. When talking about linemen, strength will prevail.

I was talking to a Gump friend of mine about the game Friday night. We have been watching LSU and Bama play each other for 40 years and he follows them very closely. Told me then their DL was the deepest he has ever seen. I believe it now.

Oh yeah they're for real. How many 312 pound linemen you see leap over the line and block a field goal?

Sure they do. The biggest difference in our two programs is that Saban signs quotas in all position groups every year. Miles does just-in-time recruiting. LSU gets the best players because we can promise immediate playing time. So this year it's dline and LBs. last year it was Oline.

When Saban goes young at a position group it's because of a rash of injuries, like at DB this year.

This is a huge contradiction.

We have 2 freshman on the line I imagine are around age 18? and just in the program..

They have like 7 or 8 seniors on defense I believe.. Who are more NFL ready than some of our younger guys..

We have some studs, and they will only get better and stronger.

Ik they were rotating the whole Dline and that's where a big advantage came from as well

A 22 year old in a college program should be stronger than a 17 to 18 year old just entering in.. Regardless if equal talent coming out.

We got some serious studs on the line, some are red shirting though. We will be fine.

Last year we were beaten badly by MSU because they had 5th year seniors at almost every line position. Of course it matters when 22-23 year old guys are playing 18-19 year old guys. Especially when they have been training weight wise and nutritionally with an SEC program.

I think it plays a part, but I also thought William Clapp played the best overall game of all the linemen.

Alabama's front 7 is very mature and well-developed, so yeah, I think young guys are generally going to have problems trying to block them. Most older guys are going to have issues too.

Alexander, Hawkins, and Pocic had a lot of issues getting beat and allowing penetration/pressure. And in the case of Alexander and Hawkins, it wasn't just against linemen, it was also against LBs.

Pocic was arguably the guy that got beat the worst....and he is a junior not a frosh. Robinson and the rest of bamas line were just too good.

Alabama had a 310 pound nosetackle leap over our deep snapper with no running start to block a fricking PAT.

I mean yeah it didn't help but that dude was a fricking monster.
