but the possibility of getting beat
oh I know losing the game is a possibility, but curb stomped hasn't crossed my mind...

Semantics....you know what I meant.....quit being obtuse.....you sure are feisty tonight!
Posted on 8/27/14 at 9:04 pm to RedTigerRulz
For some reason though the last few days....not as confident......maybe its cuz this is the first neutral site opener I've been to in a while and I'm figuring I'll jinx the run weve been on the last ten years by showing up!

You are not confident because if any team is arguably a bad matchup for LSU, it is a power running team with one of the top 5 offensive lines in football

Their offensive line is legit and their 3-4 defense will give us problems
This game will not be an easy LSU win

We've played for 3 bcs titles since we lost to an ooc team in the regular season. History tells me, a long with the success of this program, that we aren't losing.

Some of you people either didn't watch those 5 games or just decide to rewrite history. UNC had two passes from @ the 10 yard line that would have beat us...one play could have easily been called pass interference.
TCU was far from a dominant win, similar to the first Washington game. I love your quotes " I wasn't worried till the very end" Duh, I wasn't worried about Arkansas till the very end. Clearly we didn't dominate game.
I think we win this one which will allow our young bunch to improve before we play the next quality team, State, yes i know 14 in a row blah blah blah. I love the optimism, but a little realism doesn't hurt.

quality out of conference opponents?
tcu had 4 wins last year
UNC was 4-4 in the ACC in 2010
Washington was 5-7 in 2009
those teams were not quality my friend
A Wisconsin an commenting on OOC quality? When was the last quality OOC won for wisky? Was it that massive 1 pt win over ariZona state in 2010. And I am pretty sure in and around the times we beat tcu and Oregon, they beat you.

I implore to rewatch every single one of those games before the opener in 3 days. Games were never in doubt, and they appeared a lot closer than they actually were. I mean it was still 30-10 at the start of the fourth quarter against UNC
Agree with this.

LSU's young defenses have been tested in early OOC games against quality teams, that years prior had great success.
2009
1. Alabama
2. Texas
3. TCU
2010
1. Auburn
2. Oregon
3. TCU
2011
1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma State
4. Stanford
5. Oregon
6. Boise State
7. Arkansas
8. Wisconsin
9. South Carolina
10. Kansas State
11. Virginia Tech
12. Michigan
13. Michigan State
14. Clemson
15. TCU
NC never lived up to the expectations. Washington was never to live up to their expected rankings. I do not have the lines on these games but I can imagine neither game had a large spread.

Agreed and it's not limited to the opener or OOC. Most LSU fans hate their lives and come here to share the hate and worry on a great football program

What does this even mean? Are you saying no team is ever equal to or better than LSU? You do realize we lose games sometimes, huh?

Curb stomped? Really?
Go get some vagisil

yeah the big TE for UNC dropped a pass in the end zone that would've tied the game in the last few minutes with the extra point to go ahead. In fact that same guy dropped two or three wide open passes in that game.
Would you like to address all of LSU's miscues that kept us from completely blowing UNC out, or does it only work one way?

We've been curb stomped precisely one time under Les. Wisconsin isn't curb stomping us

Tell it to Vegas. LSU has gone from a 4 pt fav to a 5 point dog in two wks. Wisc must be putting their money where their mouths are.
I'm generally a negatiger, but this post is full of failure.
LSU is not close to a dog. Line opened at -7 now it's -5.

And we saw it against Clemson as well.
