Definition of "Non-knowledgable football fan" to all those that are brimming with wretched excess positivity that's pumped in from Sol: ANYBODY that disagrees or expresses opinions that are different or contrary to theirs.

That's precisely what Les has done over the last 9 years
- 2 finals appearances
- 3 SEC finals
- 1 championship
- 2 SEC titles
while going 10-3 otherwise

There are coaches who are not as good recruiters as LM, that if had our talent would have won multiple NCs with these unbelievably talented teams (NFL picks), because they make the most of what they have.

So, you are saying you would rather lose more games with less talent and better on field coaching .... seems strange.

You have to grade the entire package - recruiting, ability to motivate players, abiltiy to attract good assistants, on field coaching, ability to coach up players, clock management and this shows up in the ability to WIN. Over 100 wins in 10 SEC seasons tells me he rates superior over 99% coaches out there. Not saying he's perfect, just that he recruits talent and wins with them.

Expecting more than 2 passes out of 15 plays in the last quarter of the entire season when you are down by 12+ isn't unreasonable.

We lose 18 players to the NFL in the last two seasons. Play with 12 true freshman, several who start, leave 6 players home including a few more potential starters. A QB with 1 full game of experience. Go in favored by 3 1/2. Maybe your expectation of DOMINATION is unrealistic?

In my opinion, Les is a very special coach and LSU is fortunate to have him. I do not know another coach I would rather have.

Is he perfect? No! Am I enjoying LSU football? Very Much!

Just because your stupid arse thinks we should have dominated, doesn't mean we actually should have. Every rational human being knew we'd be in for a dog fight.

well he probably is the best evaluater and developer of talent there is as a coach. Our classes generally aren't ranked that high yet he still puts more in the NFL than any other coach. You could put Barney Fife as the head coach at Bama with the talent they have and still win a NC every year, yet some how they fail to do so. Miles gets more out of his players and develops them better than any other coach if you go by rivals rankings (average) compared wins and to players in the NFL (one of the best).

when miles stops winning more than everyone else, this might have some validity. until then, things like the delay of game on the kickoff, while puzzling, is merely an irrelevant anecdote.

again, WINS

it's amazing how many people can't comprehend this simple concept.

all teams have fans that complain about the coaching. since that is equal, the difference is who wins more. miles wins more therefore, the criticisms of his coaching are invalid. when he isn't winning, the criticisms will have some validity.
