you guys would be shittin down both legs with joy if you found out he was coming back to LSU.
I wouldn't be happy about it. Not everyone is in love with the little turd. I wasn't happy when he left for Miami, but he couldn't wait to get out of Louisiana. Miles has handled everything fine in my opinion and doesn't see the need to be a prick to his players on national television. If Saban did return to LSU, I would pull for him to succeed, but only for the sake of the school, not Saban.

You're description of how you'd feel about Saban is how I feel about miles now.

good. he should be miserable. he's earned it.

obviously he's a great football coach, no rational person would ever say otherwise, but that's not why he's had the run he's had at bama. none of his LSU teams were this good, and his Dolphin teams were awful. his IQ didn't drop 50 points the day he arrived in Miami and then jump 100 when he left.

bama football is simply corrupt to the core, and has been for 60 years. this is not some secret. these two were made for each other, winning football games is their whole life, it's all they have, saban for his ego and bama because what the frick else do they gonna do? play with all the pine straw?

not that i think saban is involved with any of that, i assume he doesn't even ask, the football field and the REC are two separate worlds, but he hasn't even tried to hide the fact that he will push every recruiting rule to its absolute limit and only adhere to the rules that he's forced to.

he does that kind of stuff, along with "processing" the kids who didn't work out and are holding up scholarship spots and only drug testing when the ncaa makes him, right out in the open. god only knows what the REC is doing behind closed doors.

Jesus Shake you're gonna make me call u a name again. I would posit that ALL coaches push the line where recruiting is concerned. You sound like sour grapes.

That's cool. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I understand how some folks feel all warm and fuzzy about Saban for all the success he had at LSU. I personally don't enjoy watching a coach scream at the players during games and throwing headset and clipboards and all that kinda crap. And I don't believe Saban would have ever survived the season during Katrina and Rita. The man left LSU high and dry and I could care less how successfull he is or if he's happy or not.

It took 5 years for Saban and LSU fans/players/administration to start wearing on one another badly. At the 5 year mark, Bama was in the midst of an extraordinary run. Now that the pack has caught up with them a bit, the same fissures are starting to show.

good point

He brought every bit of this on himself. Do not feel sorry for him. Their program is like an impeding volcano. I personally can not wait for the predicted implosion. It may be 1 year ahead of pace. Absolute Power never ends well.
And yes he will regret not taking the Texas job. But Im so glad he didnt.

im sure they do, saban just does it more.

the "bump" rule for example, its in place for situations like Dylan Moses. Miles isn't allowed to speak to him during dead periods, but that can be weird since hes not only local but on the very same campus every day. the rule says its ok for Miles to "greet" Moses if they happen to run into each other.

saban just happened to "bump" into Keiwone Malone during the dead period at his high school. in Memphis. a school that had no other players being recruited by anyone.

he also happened to bump into Barry Sanders, Jr. during the dead period at his high school. in Oklahoma. and for a "greeting" he told him Trent Richardson was going pro before it had been announced.

and if the summer dead period runs until July 13th, he'll accidentally happen to start a camp that same day, before anyone else, and then say it was a mix-up. basically daring the NCAA (now run by mark emmert, our former chancellor and the man who hired saban from mich state) to do something about it.

Just wanted to call out this laughable post. If you base your list of best coaches in the game on current team rankings, your list will change every damn week!

We are talking about a coach who might once again have his team in contention for the National title, right?

at recruiting he is the all time greatest. Most coaches could take his second team and win NC's with them. As a coach and a person he is one miserable frick and very average.

We must be thinking about 2 different Notre Dame teams. Just got back from South Bend, where the Golden Domers escaped with a win over UNC, who is winless in conference play. ND looks mediocre, at best. If you like ND, you'd love ECU...
