Dude was a road grader run blocking and pass protected well. Future is bright.

Would have been better if he blocked down

I really like his upside, but he did get beat on the fourth down stop on the goal line.

For a true frosh he did overall but that whiff on the 4th and one at the goal line was ugly.

It looked like he sealed him off instead of blocking him and then sealing him off. I don't think he got beat, I think he just thought if he sealed him off the back would already be past but the play developed slowly. That will come with experience.

Yes Deculus is listed in the participation report. Everyone thought he was the most likely to play based on rankings. Kind of reminds me of the Herron, Bain, Gilmore, Neal, and Loc DL class rankings in that order and Loc and Neal were the only ones that played their first year.

He really did. He made a mistake on the goal line. And, in a close game that could have hurt. But, honestly that has to be expected from a freshman in his first game.

He should feel great about his performance.

Deculus was on the fg team. Didn't see him on offense. But may have missed him.

You are correct. His job was to seal off left side. Just off on timing.

Deculus is the backup at both tackle spots. He'll play plenty. The only reason Charles and Ingram are seeing the field first is because Maea Teuhema is a moron

Haha. He got beat. Quit trying to rationalize it.

All bullshite aside he did have a good game, considering he is an 18/19 year old kid playing against 30 year olds. Well to be fair 24-27 year olds..

Deculus only saw the field for extra points and FG's.

Agreed. The two surprises to me were that our oline would consistently win against their dline and that our defense would dominate so thoroughly. That was impressive.

If Etling takes care of the ball we should have a very good year.
