Neither disappointed me. Williams got drafted and had a degree...Shepard will be drafted and have a degree. I think Shepard did way more for his team than any of us know and that is why Miles was so uncharacteristically pissed.

I think Miles and company did the best thing for Sheps potential NFL career, but hurt his college career, by playing him at WR. He was never going to be a RB at the next level, but no one would have known if he hand the hands/instincts for WR until he was given a fair shake. They tried, it didn't work. It was by far the best decision without hindsight.

Totally different situation than KW. Ford is the one that is comparable to KW. KW was great in the open field, but did not run hard at the line in traffic and couldn't find the hole well (minus the VT game) until his senior year. Like KW finally did, Ford is starting to figure out how he has to run to be an every down RB option.

I have friends who have friends in the media in BR and they all say that RS is a class act and an asset to the team and has been since the day he stepped foot on campus. All third hand info but that's what the word is.

no doubt shepard is a great guy & teammate, but as one of the top recruits, he seemed to never really get a chance to prove himself on the field. just getting a few touches a game.

The only regret for me about Shep was I thought he would have at least been given the opportunity to throw a football in a game like I saw Ware through one for a touchdown In Auburn in 2010 it was one helluva play atleast I thought Ware threw that halfback pass I was in the nose bleed with the sun in my eye when that play happened to tie the game....
