Per wikipedia.... can anyone explain what all the fuss is about? Seems like they basically replicated Rosenblatt exactly. (searched and surprisingly didn't see this anywhere).

Rosenblatt before 2002
Before remodeling and reconfiguration for the 2002 season, the foul lines were 343 (later 335) and the power alleys were 370 (later 375). Centerfield was 420 (later 408).

Rosenblatt after 2002
Left Field - 335 feet (102 m)
Left-Center - 375 feet (114 m)
Center Field - 408 feet (124 m)
Right-Center - 375 feet (114 m)
Right Field - 335 feet (102 m)
Fence height
Left and Right Fields - 10 feet (3 m)
Center Field - 12 feet (4 m)

TD Ameritrade

Left Field Line – 335 ft (102 m)
Left Center – 375 ft (114 m)
Center Field – 408 ft (124 m)
Right Center – 375 ft (114 m)
Right Field Line -335 ft (102 m)

If u read the threads and watch the games that isn't the story.

Built in a landfill and is below the Missouri River. Also wind blows in from south.

we didn't win it. so now we're grasping for an excuse to blame it on.

not like the other 7 teams have to play in this park also.

Couple things:

They changed the direction of the stadium, it faces a different direction, and the ball does not carry as far. Secondly, the old stadium didnt have to deal with the new bats.

The wind blew out at Rosenblatt and it was sitting up on a bluff. They would hit a few more homeruns with these bats at that park.

Rosenblatt was on a hill facing the right direction

TD Ameritrade is in a valley by the river. Thicker air.

here is why balls don't carry in TD Ameritrade

1) wind usually blows in
2) its in a valley at the bottom of a hill.

so the balls don't carry.

oh yeah the bats suck.

The direction I can buy but unless Rosenblatt was in Denver then there's no way elevation matters. The river will give off a bit of humidity but even that is a stretch.

I believe the poster was trying to say, on the hill where Rosenblatt was locted, it was in a prime location to pick up more wind to aide fly balls to leave the park. In the lower grounds that TDA is locted on it doesn't get as much wind, and what it does get blows in to home plate, instead. Has nothing to do with altitude like in Denver.

I'd like to see a comparison of the two stadiums foul ball territory.

Just be glad that Lsu played in a period of college baseball when the bats weren't neutered and didn't have to play in TDA

It's not the stadium or the wind or the thick air. It's the bats.

Have you not read anything on any website or newspaper for the past week
It is not just the bats and its certainly not just because we lost
The damn park was built in a hole around skyscrapers and is facing the opposite direction that rosenblatt was.

Meaning the ball doesn't carry well in the park. Doesn't carry at all actually
It's made the games incredibly boring to watch

Everyone plays with the same bats.
