Has Ronnie played at all on defense this year? Seems like he always has a great spring only to fade in the fall.

He's obviously a great athlete, and yet he can't get on the field on defense. That tells me that he doesn't have the aptitude for it. Not for sure, but that's probably the problem. If he doesn't play next year there can be no doubt.

I think you can look up play participation on the game boxscore or recap.

only thing I can think of is we line up in nickle and he's behind beckwith, Jones, Louis and Riley.

He hasn't played in any games yet, even on special teams.

Unfortunately he appears to be one of those fan favorite guys from recruiting or camp that just never pans out.
It could be ability, effort, or he just peaked early.

MLB will probably be Duke. I can't imagine a freshman having the job held down from the onset despite how talented of a LB crop we may have. That gives us Duke and Donnie Alexander and Voorhies starting at the beginning of the season. A lot lighter group, but they can all cover. I would imagine there would be some freshmen that heavily rotate in and could possibly start by midseason.
