yea, first 3 games or so he looked like he had cemented a starting spot

now he looks like bench fodder at best. battle on the other hand looks impressive.

IMO he used to play with a chip on his shoulder because he had to fight for playing time. Now that he is getting a lot of PT, i think he has lost some of that passion the last few weeks.

I chuckle at these people that act like RJ is a run stopping safety. I imagine they are just repeating what they heard at the beginning of the season.

It's always been clear that he lacked coverage skills. If anyone hasn't seen in the last 3 games that he has been exposed as weak against the run is sticking their heads in the mud.

Look at the guy that juked him on the play being discussed. We're not talking about some All SEC rb. It was the back-up for WKU, and he looked like a 5'8" tall fullback, and weighing 280. He literally froze RJ in his tracks, lol.

He has clearly struggled compared to how he began the season in quite a dramatic fashion. Assuming the talent and skill displayed early has not suddenly disappeared, one can only wonder about the mental challenges. It appears that every play there seems to be constant communication between the DB's right up until the snap. Combined with the plenty of missed assignments - is our scheme too demanding? Also, why is asked to cover and others blitz when he struggles in coverage and is likely our top blitzing safety?
