I just googled the salary range of NBA D-Leaguers. Wow is all I can say. They make between 13k-25k with a $40 per diem. Next stop, OT-baller.

Also coming back and honing your game isn't just about getting drafted, it's developing the skills to stay in a league when you get there.

I must have guys confused then. If it isn't a desperate attempt to make some money, this decision is even more crazy. As much as I hate seeing former players struggle, this kid has near 0% to make an NBA team.

He could make a roster at his size (a la Dejuan Blair, Draymond Green, Boris Diaw) if he had a mean streak and did the dirty work, but he gets pushed around and can't pass or handle the ball in the post.

He has decent athleticism, but he can't play the 3. He's stuck at being a tweener that MAYBE one day could get some bench minutes on a bad team.
