I always thought the tradition was to boo our struggling quarterbacks.

Nope....we used to "Tiger Bait" them, of course that was back in the day when we had characters like "Big Red" who sat up in the upper North End Zone (you could hear his voice all over the stadium)

That's what I remember as well, but now the "Tiger Bait" chant has died. How hard is it as an AD if you want "Tiger Bait" back to give out signs to the cheerleaders and get them to hold it up in front of the student section to start the chant back again.

No, it used to be "Tiger Bait", but it has been awhile. I've said many times on here that booing anyone other than the officials on truly bad calls or an opposing player who does something dirty (like Day) is just stupid. It's kinda sad, too, because 100k+ fans with a unified "Tiger Bait!" would sound pretty awesome and would be a hell of a lot louder.

No, it hasn't. The entire crowd doesn't chant it in unison, but tiger bait is far from dead.

My cousin at KSU tells me there's a "frick KU" chant every game

Ok, so we'll put it on life support status. If it's to the point that it can't be heard it's struggling. A few sections chanting it isn't going to bring it back, you have to get the students in on it and put it into the up and coming tiger fans to keep it going. Otherwise it'll fade with the older fans.

Our fans can't even clap in unison during pregame.

He always seemed to move around. That man had to be a professional singer with his baritone voice. There was also the Bengal Bard.

I always tiger bait when the opponent enters the field. I'm usually the only one though. I'm also usually way up in the cheap seats, so not sure if that has any bearing on that.
