You need a shrink. Do you still harbor hurt feelings about little league too?

I'd rather us just beat Alabama in the regular season for the foreseeable future, than get some bullshite revenge from 5 years ago.

They have lost at least once in the regular season, every year the past 4 years (Ole Miss twice, Auburn once, TAMU once). As long as we beat them every year as well, they will never get to the playoffs.

Shouldn't have happened the first time.

Bama beat their opponents up just as badly as LSU did, and both had one of the toughest SOS around too. LSU-Bama was the only rational matchup at the end.

I don't remember Bama having that tough of a schedule that year. But if we should blame anybody for the rematch, though, it's Oklahoma State for losing to a terrible Iowa State at the end of the season. They are the real assholes in that whole dealL. Although that was a weird game--on a Friday night, I think--and the same day as the plane crash that killed some of their women's basketball team?

Beating Saban and Bama twice in one season? You'd be more likely to hit the powerball...

I hate that Bama was allowed the rematch but in all fairness it turned out to be the right call because they won. The same can be said for our 2007 title, we snuck in with 2 losses but it was the right call because we handled up on Ohio State.

Good chance they might lose out the gate against USC just because USC wants back up on the big stage they will be playing their asses off and I don't think Bama will be ready for it. If this happens and we beat them no way they get in unless it's 2007 all over. Cam Cameran has said that this team is hungry and on fire. I think they are dumbing down expectations and will come out and surprise people and that's what they want. If we win it all this year or even get close its going to start this thing off. LSU will be back very soon, if we win with these guys as veterans without a whole lot of depth just think when we have the RS sophomore and junior depth to go with the senior leaders?? All highly ranked guys gonna be good

Couldn't agree more. If it were in TS I would be more inclined to understand. Now if we lose a close one in nov and finish 11-1 then I'll be screaming that we deserve a shot !!

I seriously doubt USC even comes close to beating Bama. The last few years people have said its a rebuilding year for Bama but every year they are either in the hunt for the NC or winning the NC. Sometimes the truth hurts and sucks.

I would hate to play Bama twice. If we win the first we would have to beat them twice in the same year. Don't see Les being able to do that to Nick. Lose the first one and then a rematch loss would put a bad taste on what would be a 12-2 season.
Winning the National Championship would be sweet no matter who we beat

I'm with you. I want a close win at home and then release the hounds in the NC game. It would jumpstart the restoration of order.

when highly ranked teams meet twice in a season, the team that won the first time loses the second.

I'd like to hear some examples, I can only think of two off the top of my head. Florida/FSU in '96 and LSU/Bama in 2011. Bama played a top 5 Florida in '99, won 40-39 in the regular season, came into SECCG as the underdog. Won 34-7

You are correct. But if you compare what Oklahoma State did verses top 5, top 10 and top 25 teams, you would see that OK State had a better resume. Also, Oklahoma State played and won their conference title game and destroyed their opponent. Alabama didnt have to play a conference title game, didnt win their division and played for the national title. Nick Saban used the title game as a guest to lobby for his team on national tv to play for the title
