A LSU/A&M matchup in Omaha would be epic the year before we switch to the SEC

A preview of A&M's annual beatdowns by the Tigers would be awesome!

Will see, something tells me no team is going to beat down Wacha/Stripling just like no one has all year.

Ya your right one game gives proff that Wacha sucks, nevermind that he has one of the best ERA's in college baseball, is the former Big 12 pitcher or the year and is a guaranteed first rounder. I'll take what you have to say and ignore ALL baseball writers and his entire body of work

I don't think he was taking away from Wacha.....just disproving your statement that no one has beat down Wacha all year when clearly one team has.

to be fair he said Wacha & Stripling. Stripling shut down K-state the next day.

I don't think we'll beat them down either. It'll be a low scoring pitcher dominated series. I like our chances w/ our pen & HFA, although I'd still rather see Baylor or Rice.

How come Texas is supposed to make it in the tournament this year with a 30-20 record while the 2011 LSU team got left out with a 36-20 record?

Which I think is bullshite considering the committee ignored LSU's RPI last year and focused on conference record as the reason for leaving us out

But then again, the committee us a bunch of frickheads

Question....seems it might be important. Who is on the selection committee this year?
Seems RPI only matters when some want it to. Conf. standings & SOS likewise. And I do think it's significant that we didn't lose ANY of the midweek games, esp. since they are usually more important to the visitors than us.
I'm sure there'll be the usual effort to minimize the SEC slots in Omaha.

I assume the Big 12 deputy commish is still the committee head, so expect a Big 12 bias again. Texas will probably get an undeserved bid, just like Baylor last year.

They actualy split the series bw BCS & Waco, IDK tho I'd have to check. I'm guessing it was a low scoring tight series tho.

ETA: 5-3 in BCS. 1-0 & 7-5 in Waco

If A&M does get Arky in their regional, I'd be a little worried if I were you. That would suck for any team. Arky is no joke and has one of the best pitching staffs in the country. Their Friday night starter is a 1st rounder and their hitting aint bad either. They managed to take the series from UF and almost beat SC and LSU with close series loses. Not to mention they play in the best conference in baseball facing the best in the country.

Texas gets in no doubt. They'll try to sneak them in and get them a chance at a super.

However, we've only played 7 games against teams with a shot of making it to Omaha - Baylor, Rice and Fullerton. We played 5 of those games at home. We went 1-6. Tell me we are for real.

Aaron Fitt: You have pointed out the real flaws in Texas A&M's resume -- but regardless, I certainly believe the Aggies are for real. I just don't see many teams beating Wacha and Stripling in the postseason, and I like the overall balance of that club. Every time I've seen A&M this year, I come away with the impression that it is a really good, complete team. I continue to believe the Aggies will be an Omaha team and a top contender for the national title, 1-6 against the top 25 be damned.

The thing to root for is Rice having a bad CUSA tourney and falling out of the Top 8 seeds while A&M moves into a spot.

The Owls would not escape the Box with a series win, but the Aggies have the arms to do it.

The Aggies could take Saturday from us with either Nola/Eades on the mound. I'm confident in KG to lock friday.
