Let's play devils advocate... What if our offense was top

Are you kidding? From what I hear.. LSU fans just want to be entertained.. Les Miles would be the best coach ever (in their minds - as opposed to in reality) at LSU if he scored 100 points every game but was 1-6..

Dont be foolsih. A winning record is always wanted. But in addition to a winning record, we'd also like to see lingering problems corrected.

Who the frick started this false assumption that the two are mutually exclusive?
You guys need to understand that we could score more points, have a competent offense and still win.
It's sad how Chavis' defense has to carry this pathetic offense for years while you idiots argue that Miles is a great offensive coach

These really help.

I'll keep taking these ugly wins and hold on for the ride. Yes, we've got issues but if we can keep winning it doesn't matter how.

LSU will not have a prolific offense this season; it is what it is. We can complain about it or embrace what we have. I am doing the latter.

Here are some numbers from NCAA for LSU.
Total Off./Def Rank
2006 - 11 / 3
2007 - 26 / 3
2008 - 55 / 32
2009 - 112 / 26
2010 - 86 / 12
2011 - 86 / 2
2012 - 76 / 3

LM wins with defense. Our offense has sucked since 2007.

Do you suggest we go and post the obvious on Twitter like Rueben Randle?

OH I agree.. The penalties definitely are frustrating..
The turnovers appear to have been addressed..

But there seems to be some ideal (in LSU fans' heads) that our offense is SO TALENTED we should line up and destroy everyone.
The NFL disagrees.. When is the last time we had an offensive player go in the first round?
Our O-Line is banged up. Our QB isn't all we expected.. and the receivers.. geez..
The coaches do what they can with what they have.. and considering they win.. the pertinent problems have been "corrected".

You are a fricking moron! Wanting an offense capable of completing a forward pass with regularity does not mean wanting a WV type offense.

Go stick your head in the sand dumbass b/c everything is fine on offense.

By your reasoning all first round picks must come from Oregon, WV, Texas Texh, etc.. Fail!!!

Plenty of teams with little or no NFL talent that have much better offenses than LSU.

I guess you think the NFL is going to draft a bunch of La Tech players

I agree that it gets old with all of the complaining and it is usually the same complaints, and that gets really old. Here is my suggestion: Have Tiger Droppings give them their on board. They have a board for everything else. That way, if naysaying is your deal, to could hang out with your buds and those being negative on this board could be redirected?? Call the board The NayGate and all is right in Tiger Nation again.

I consider myself a pro LSU, positive poster.

But I have to look at this offense and be realistic, it's just an ugly looking product.

We had such high hopes with Zack, the big guy with the big arm.

The OL has been crushed, and we lost RR..which is huge...we don't have that big possession WR...

I think the coaches have scaled it back to keep Zack from getting sacked...the OL can't block long enough or well enough, so we have to keep backs or extra TE's in to block... I don't think we have enough WR's options to make a defense worry...we make it easy for them by our numbers on the LOS.

The Defense is off the hook awesome...

How good will it be with Mingo and Sam gone next year? That worries me, because the offense will be better. But, then we have to play Bama at Bama

We must have a complete team to win it all ...last year was close.

The problem with our fan base is we are constantly comparing our performance or results to what we see going on in T-Town...they are setting the standard.

And frankly, what I see is a semi-pro team teeing off on inferior talent. Saban's recruiting championships combined with top level coaching is paying off...he has built a dynasty and there seems no let up anytime soon...not until he retires will that happen... It's like watching Tiger Woods in his prime...everyone must accept being 2nd...

We are capable of beating Alabama...but the offense is just not that much of threat even in Tiger Stadium...so I expect a close win from Alabama 21-17 probably...

But since I predicted we would be Alabama 3 season in a row, I have to stick to that....LSU 17-13

Supporting the team and pointing out HUGE flaws in the team are not mutually exclusive.
