7 attempts, 4 scores

2 TDs, 2FGs

Updated for the MSU game:

Attempts: 13
TD: 4
FG: 6

Scoring %: 77%
TD %: 31%

Note, it is possible that we technically have 14 attempts instead of 13. Blue's fumble against MSU occurred at their 23, but was recovered at their 16. I don't know whether that constitutes a trip to the red zone, although I am fairly certain that when a fumble rolls forward before being recovered, the team who fumbled is credited with the yardage it rolls forward as offensive yardage gained (Davey and Reed's record day at Alabama in 2001 included 20 yards passing for Davey and receiving for Reed when Reed fumbled at the Alabama 20 and it rolled into the end zone). However, even if it technically counts as a red zone attempt, it is appropriate to ignore it in this context because red zone stats are supposed to measure a team's ability to score when they get into the red zone. Since we didn't run any play or even possess the ball in the red zone that time, this "attempt" would not give us any indication of that ability.

Don't worry about it until we lose.

I didn't express any worry or commentary on the meaning of our red zone statistics. I just posted what they are. People can draw their own conclusions. I didn't look up the rankings, but I would guess that a scoring percentage of 77% probably puts us in the middle third of the country, while our TD percentage of 31% probably puts us in the bottom third or fourth of the country.

Still, however, your admonition not to "worry" until we lose a game is just flat out wrong. That's exactly what people said when we were 4-0 in 2008 and 5-0 in 2009, and we saw that it just didn't hold water. Both of those teams had serious problems even though they both went into October undefeated.

We are 115th out of 120 teams in TD% in the redzone based on the NCAA website.
