The only problem with not matching the 1&2 3&4, it coukd leave you with 3 teams with 0 losses. Cluster frick.
Forgot, UL winning out would mean 4 undefeated teams.

sigh:
ND will not play an SEC team in the Sugar Bowl. Period.
Anyone who thinks this doesn't know how the selection process works
Are you saying it can't happen or won't happen? Because it just did happen, the '07 Sugar Bowl.

The Sugar Bowl was farther down the pecking order in terms of selection order that year, and Notre Dame wasn't undefeated.
If Notre Dame goes undefeated and gets left out of the national championship game, the Sugar Bowl will absolutely take them, and we're on our way to the Fiesta Bowl.

^ This.
It's very clear a lot of people just have no idea what they are talking about when predicting bowl matchups.
The selection order is different every year. 2012 is a totally different situation than 2006.
The ONLY way LSU and ND meet up is if Oregon somehow does NOT win the PAC 12.
Then the Rose would have its traditional matchup, and the Fiesta would take Oregon and KSTATE.
Then Sugar could take LSU after ND.

Never said that I knew about the selection priority. That's why I asked.

Florida loss which is, in fact, likely. We going to the 'ship, um, I mean the Sugar.
