There is just one small piece that everyone is taking for granted. You assume we play the rest of our games like we did Bama and win them all. We have three games left and I guarantee that 2 of them will make you pull your hair out before this is all through. We should win all three, but I have a feeling all three will be very close.

Realistic shot at making the Sugar Bowl?
LSU dominates last 3 opponents (these clubs will not help the cause), FSU upsets UF (very possible), UA blows out UGA (a close one and Georgia may get invite).

I'm going with the A&M/AU shocker scenario...till Saturday night anyhow.

then maybe we get picked over UGA,
Has the loser of the SECCG ever gone to the Sugar Bowl? LSU went to the Chicken Bowl when they lost this game.

Alabama in 2008 and Florida in 2009.

Both of them were ranked #1 going into the SECCG with a ton of hype though.
And Bama hadn't been to Sugar in over a decade and UF was Tebow's last game.
Also, you have to remember LSU was nowhere in the BCS picture those years.
I don't see Sugar taking either UF or UGA over LSU after they both lose their last game of the season and LSU is on a 5-1 streak with the only loss the heartbreaker to Bama and we're ranked several spots higher.
Just not gonna happen IMO.

Never said they would. Just answering his question.

Oh yeah I wasn't saying that you were predicting that.
Just addressing the differences between this year and those two examples cause I know a lot of people are worried who would get the SECs at large bid if we all end up with 2 losses.
I just think that scenario heavily favors LSU this year.

If everyone ahead of us wins out minus uga and uf. Id see us playing ou in the sugar. Nd and kstate in fiesta.

I think Sugar picks ND over LSU. The more I think about it, I don't even think it'll be a tough decision for them.
I think we most likely end up in Fiesta with K State.
Probably ND and OU in the Sugar. Huge matchup for them.

Sugar wouldn't want a rematch.

Ah good call. Totally blanked on that.
Then they'd probably take Clemson I think. Their fans would travel well for it. Offense vs. Defense. Great ratings I'd think.
Either way, Sugar won't get LSU and ND. Whichever one it doesn't take with it's first replacement, the Fiesta will snatch up in a heartbeat.

No rematch of OU and ND. Not when they can have a SEC Powerhouse test the metal of the Golden Domers.

:sigh:
ND will not play an SEC team in the Sugar Bowl. Period.
Anyone who thinks this doesn't know how the selection process works.

A very good one IMHO. Florida loses to FSU and Georgia to Bama in the SECCG.

Sugar is going to take LSU and Oklahoma. It'd be a future champions bowl match-up.
