If we lose to A&M, we will be going to the Ron's Seafood Denham Springs Bowl.

I keep hearing Houston v. Texas. Apparently, the Aggies are refusing to play Texas, so LSU is second choice.

First, we need to beat A&M this weekend or we'll get stuck somewhere like Birmingham, or Carolina. Shreveport probably won't happen unless some horrible happens.

(edit: corrected be to beat; typed from iPhone)

The bowl that sunshine pumpers will laud as "the best non-playoff bowl". Then hinge some future event based on the outcome. Meanwhile, I will not give two shits about it. I honestly don't care if we lose games or go to shitty bowls. The worse thing is not seeing our team get better and improve or adapt or utilize the talent. Not only that, but what we do is ugly football on offense. I watch all this exciting play from shite teams, and then the team I love with all this talent plays tar-pit twister on a weekly basis. Then afterwards I'm told by sunshiners that it's really football glory that I'm seeing.

If LSU loses then the Indy Bowl is a real possibility. But you can get really nice duck calls.

And Uncle Zach will be there:

Supposedly, if we beat A&M, we will go to the Texas Bowl in Houston. Our opponent would be probably be Texas, assuming that they lose to TCU. WVU is another possible opponent. If we lose to the Aggies, I have a feeling that we will end up freezing our nuts off in either Nashville, Charlotte, or Memphis.

Playing Texas in prime time in a domed stadium wouldn't be half bad. Of all of our possible destinations, I think that it would draw the most LSU fans. I just don't see us traveling well to Nashville, Memphis, or any of the other possible bowl locations.

It does seem like we're all in a football Bizarro World, doesn't it.

SEC will decide this year from the group of bowls:
Outback - LSU will not go here since they went last year
Tax Slayer - possible with Nebraska as opponent
Belk - doutbful
Music City - possible but more likely Tenn or USC
Liberty - very possible
Texas - it's probably A&M's to turn down but how do you turn a Texas matchup down and you know ESPN wants it

Outside of that the Indy (would be last resort but I can't see 6 win teams passing LSU and how can SEC do that) and Birmingham are available if SEC qualifies enough

Win vs A&M = Gator Bowl or Texas Bowl

Loss vs A&M = Liberty Bowl Or Texas Bowl or Independence Bowl, or possibly even Music City Bowl

Belk and Outback are extremely unlikely, and IMO Music City - while possible - also unlikely.

The best bet for LSU right now is the Texas Bowl, as it is in play regardless of the outcome against A&M....and considering Texas seems like a lock for that game, coupled with the reports that the SEC will not put A&M against Texas, that leads me to believe Texas-LSU in Houston is a very very likely Texas Bowl.

Well, all 7 teams in the West are bowl-eligible already, so I really don't see this as being an issue.
