I'm not putting all the blame on etling, he got zero help from his line and receivers, but he is limited. Brennan is our future and we are not competing for a championship this year so I would like to see him get the experience. Syracuse and Troy could be some confidence boosters. So tired of being one dimensional!

He might get broken in half during that experience.

Brennan would look like a baby deer getting thrown to a wolf pack when we get to SEC play.

You want to see young tender Brennan with Malone protecting his blindside against SEC defenses?

Well it's throw him to the wolves this year or next. Atleast he could be seasoned for next year

If by seasoned you mean dead, then, yes, he could be.

Yeah not saying it couldn't backfire but with etling we are looking at a 8-4 type season and that's being really optimistic. Then start next season with inexperience at qb. Syracuse and Troy could atleast get his feet wet

Another year clamoring for the backup qb oh joy. Brennan would get murdered out there. He's a true freshman who is undersized and you want him to go out there against auburn, bama, and florida. Btw we have shitty o line. So this sounds like a solid plan to me champ.

Was my gut reaction, but the risk is the kid takes a mental & physical beating ruining him for the next 3 years.

With the o-line weakness, put McMillian in & let him do some scrambling when pass pro breaks down.

Brennan would be eaten up if he were put in. Etling is the best option for us, but it's his supporting staff that needs to get its act together - namely the OL and receivers. And a horrendous pass interference call on a touchdown didn't help either!

That pi call on opening drive was total bs. Who knows if that would of changed the tone of the whole game. Would have liked to see o scathed the officials there. Our coaches just seem to take the screwjob so well.

These kids aren't as fragile as some of you are making them out to be. I think you are projecting your fears into them.

Brennan and Narcisse both should get looks within the next 2 weeks. I hate we wasted a whole spring/fall camp giving Etling 95% of the 1st team reps.

I would like to see Brennan and Narcisse the next two games. Etling isn't the problem but sometimes a change at QB can provide a spark.

I don't think he should start YET, but he should definitely split time with Etling EVERY game. Then, maybe by mid-season, consider starting him.

Maybe not seasoned but definitely tenderized.
