Going over some of the rosters, there are some NBA draft picks, lots of size, and lots of experience on these rosters. People should remember these are still professional basketball players, even though many of them are native Australians. Plus, we'll be playing by rules they are much more accustomed to.

I'm worried there will be a lot of "sky is falling" threads based on score when no one actually got to watch any of the games

Can anyone confirm if Josh Childress is playing for the Sydney Kings?

Are you expecting us to go undefeated? Is anyone expecting us to not lose a game and win every game by 15 points? Just curious.

These teams are a lot more legit than the teams we played in Italy 4 years ago.

IIRC UK really struggled with a puerto rican team last year.

Why would anyone expect us to go undefeated? That never even crossed my mind.

A lot of sidewalk fans just remembered the last time we did this we embarrassed every team in Italy we played, so it's a good message to them who dont understand this is a step up in competition.

Why would I be shocked? I'm sure the Australian teams are better than A&M and Auburn.

I'm willing to bet 99.9999999% of fans, myself included, have no recollection of the outcomes from preseason games in Italy 4 years ago.

I know you're just trying to come off like you are some sort of smart voice of reason, but i don't think anyone expects a team playing its first 5 games together to go out and beat pro teams. Right now i'm sure this team would struggle with one of those Athletes in Action type teams from here. If we do end up winning 4 or 5 games over there though, expect some major national hype for this team.

I am a huge fan and I don't remember the game 4 years ago in the regular season, let alone exhibition games. I think fans are excited to hear information from Australia since we can't watch the games. I also believe most are just optimistic to get the season started because if LSU can get competent play from either Malone or Robinson, LSU could be a sweet 16 team at the least.

But these 5 games are only a sidebar because it is football season and everyone is so worried about the QB that this basketball trip is just in the periphery.

The second game against the Sydney Kings will be carried live on the Kings Youtube channel. Supposedly you can watch the Youtube video after the game as well.

To see what these guys look like, check out this Sydney Kings Video

They look like an NBA team to me.
