Team and head coach!

To all who want a new HC....be careful what you wish for!,!

Look at UGA, Texas, Tenn, USC, Florida....ALL having poor years - worse than LSU!......I guess Urban, Mack Brown, and Richt MUST be fired......... NOW!,,,,

Not going to stay on top all the time. We should count our blessings here-we got to see 2 NC and have a team which competes for the NC every year. Hec, we are fortunate compared to other SEC teams. Think about poor Vandy or Ole Miss. Do you really think they have a chance to lift a crystal trophy anytime soon?

We are in the top 15 year after year. We have one of the biggest stadiums in the country. We have one of the largest and most passionate fan-bases around. Our football facility is state-of-the-art and unbelievably massive. Our recruiting classes are in top 5 consistently. The vast majority of the players either graduate or play in the NFL. And the football program does not take money away from the school. It pays for itself.

Though Tiger Stadium needs a face lift, it is still a great stadium and the rest of the football facilities are grade A. We have talent for days at every position, even QB (I blame coaching).

Our recruiting base is second to none. We get top flight talent every year and are consistently ranked in the top 5.

We have a problem with development and coaching and those two things go hand in hand. Are JL or JJ world beaters? No not really, but Matt Maulk and Flynn weren't either (Flynn better than Maulk). The difference between Flynn and Maulk and the current set of QBs is coaching. If a kid cannot read a D and make his progressions, I blame coaching. If a kid consistently holds the ball WAY too long, I blame coaching. If we cannot mold one of these QBs into an adequate starter, capable to not wrecking the ship, I blame coaching. I mean, clock management? Really? We are still screwing up basic football? How on earth can someone not recognize this is a problem and address it in 07 much less 2010?

LSU has top talent, but they lack discipline and proper coaching and that can be seen in several facets of the game. I am sure Crowton and Les are great guys and I hope the best, but I fear they are just not cut out to be SEC coaches. Imagine what some of the other big names in the sport could do with this roster?

I guess if I was forced to give a grade it would be an 80. An 80 is good for a mid tier team, but LSU should not be a mid tier team, not with all of this talent on the roster...

That's just silly. Winning a national championship every year while going undefeated would be 100.

60, just passing but unsatisfactorily.

Again, some fans care about how you get there, while others care only that you got there. In other words wins (no matter how poorly won are wins to some).

I don't agree with that being a former coach. If the way you win is poor, than the quality of your team is poor even if you win.

If I were ranking us on an NCAA (xbox/playstaion game) scale...

89... Talent everywhere but QB.

But irl with the coach factor and leadership I'd say high 70's
