LSU would move up one spot and Bama would stay at #1

No way bama goes over LSU in that scenario. We would be hottest team in country and O would be undefeated. If the criteria is to get 4 best teams, LSU is in...probably bama too.

LSU would jump to the highest ranked 2 loss team
Don't understand why LSU is not there already. Two losses to good teams by a total of 7 points. Not like we pulled a Florida State.

Will be fun watching this team try to win out, and if they do, the media eat crow.

Bama would remain at #1 because we would finally give them the coveted quality loss

if bama losses, that means bama beat bama; therefore, bama jumps ahead of bama in the polls.

The fact that we have to say "If the criteria is _______" at this point tells you all you need to know.....the process is still muddled at best and stupid at worst.

The same thing that happens when the boss makes a mistake everyone looks the other way like nothing happened. It's only a regular season win and as we have seen (1-9-12)
regular season only counts for everyone else but ala-mafia i mean alabama.

They would not keep a one loss Bama out even if LSU were to win out.if Michigan, Clemson, and Washington are all unbeaten, it would be between a 2 lose LSU SEC champ, and a one loss Bama team. Bama's in. Sad but true.

Top 10 still behind them, no way they put a 2 lose LSU team in front of bama just no way

If LSU runs the table with this remaining schedule they deserve to be in the playoff over Bama. The committee's job is to put the 4 best teams in the country in the playoff and I don't know how you leave out an LSU team that comes out unscathed in the toughest Oct/Nov stretch in the nation.

We would probably end up anywhere from 8-12 depending what happens with other teams. I think Bama would end up around 4-6 depending how bad the loss was.

No matter what we would need a shitload of help to ever have a prayer of making the CFP.

I believe it LSU would beat Bama by 21 (a huge if), Bama would drop below LSU; where ever that is.

Did they not institute the rule that you had to win your conference championship in order to make the playoffs...to prevent 2011 from happening again?

Principles. The committee will select the teams using a process that distinguishes among otherwise comparable teams by considering:
Conference championships won,
Strength of schedule,
Head-to-head competition,
Comparative outcomes of common opponents (without incenting margin of victory), and,
Other relevant factors such as key injuries that may have affected a team’s performance during the season or likely will affect its postseason performance.

I doubt we'd move any higher than 10-12
And gump won't fall any lower than 6-8
