So outstanding that it took them two times to win. Not even the SEC champions. I will always hate Oregon State for that season.

Do you mean Oklahoma State or Iowa State?

Ranking the 16 BCS National Champions

my question is where would LSU rank had we won 1/9?

At least in the Top 3, if not #1. That 2011 team outscored opponents 500-123 and beat 5 top 10 teams. We probably would have beaten Okie St.

Also, that 2007 team was vastly underrated.
They took apart the #1 BCS Ohio State team.
Had they won those 2 Triple OT games, who knows?

And the 2003 team had the #1 defense in CFB and held #1 Oklahoma (who had been averaging over 50 points and 600 yards per game) to a 5 yard TD drive after a blocked punt (and even then it took them 5 tries to get in); and a 30 yard drive after a Mauck INT. OU got half of their 160 total yards in the last 8 minutes of the game.

We would have done the same to USC.

Then coached by Nick Saban, LSU was able to get into the championship game only after Oklahoma lost to Kansas State in the Big 12 championship game.

That guy is an idiot. LSU pummels Georgia, Oklahoma gouged by K-State. Obviously, the Oklahoma loss propelled LSU to the BCS Championship. What a moron.

So the only reason we played Oklahoma and beat them was b/c they lost in the BIG12 Championship game?

The dumbass who wrote that article needs to do better research. OU losing had nothing to do with us getting into the BCSCG. OU was the BCS #1 and stayed there after losing to K-State. We jumped USC after we beat the bejeezus out of #5 ranked UGA in the SECCG.

Putting 2011 Bama so high is a farce.

Damn, Ohio State 2002 gets no love.

Pretty unreal, 2002 OSU beat a bunch of good teams, and an outstanding team.

2011 LSU was better than most of those teams that actually won championships.

2007 team may have been the most talented of all. But they did tend to play down to their opponents.

even we think the 2007 team were better than the ranking of last on their list, the reasoning they used is fair.

i only really object to texas at #2 and the 2006 florida team is a bit higher than i think they should've been.

LSU 2011/2012 would have been the undisputed #1 if the gumps would not have been allowed to have their rematch. Our schedule that year plus beating Bama at their house would have totally blown every other undefeated champion out of the water.

My rankings would be similar that Miami team was unreal with: Ed Reed, Clinton Portis, Johnathan Vilma, Shockley, Sean Taylor, Andre Johnson, Winslow Jr, Dorsey tons of NFL studs.

Don't know how the 2011 team will finish in the NFL but it had

Mingo
Montgomery
Brockers
Logan
Claiborne
Reid
Mathieu
Randle
Beckham
Landry

011 Alabama (12-1): How did this team lose a game? After stomping LSU in the BCS championship game, it's hard to imagine how the Tide could have lost to the Tigers at home during the regular season. This team was outstanding.

Can't argue with this. Seems to be a pretty solid ranking.

Really? FSU at 5?

AU with cam newton and fairly wouldn't destroyed that team. Not to mention every Alabama championship team.

Also LSU 2003,2006,2007,2011 and possibly 09. And that just LSU.

Every Florida team with tebow and Percy Harvin WOULDVE DRUG FSU. I think some people forget how good those Florida teams were.

Im biased, but I have to believe had we won on 1/9 we would have been 2nd only to that Miami team.

The list needs to look more like that. Claiborne is taken off because he seems to have not lived up to he draft spot. Our list is nowhere near Miamis list, right now.

That Miami team is the best BCS team I've ever seen & the '03 Miami team could have been better if not for that P.I. call.

Put the 2007 offense with the 2003 Defense and you may have the greatest team of all time.......

There's a few spots on the list that I consider a joke.

2013 FSU at 5
2011 Bama at 4 no team should be top 5 with a loss
2008 Florida should be higher

Other than that, I agree with the top 3, hard to argue against that Miami team. All you have to do is look at the roster
