Criminals can get into law school. Tulane admitted some guy who murdered a professor after he did his time, a few years ago. One of the Jena 6 just got a full scholarship to U Washington Law, after graduating from Grambling. Any sort of character standards were abandoned decades ago.

Being admitted to law school doesn't mean anything. It's being able to sit for the bar and actually being admitted to the bar. There are multiple people that pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to go to law school and then can't sit for the bar.

If you ever do a google search for ole blue, make sure you search for "Randall Gay" & not "Blue Gay". There's some horrible images etched into my mind right now

I'm assuming he's going this route so he can be a player-agent, right? That's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Just because it is the third hardest in the nation (I'm sure it's a scientific test) doesn't mean it is hard. It's a stupid exercise in memorization. 95% of people who graduated law school and who take it seriously pass it. It's those who don't study or who need to work and can't spend four weeks in a BarBri review course who don't pass.

People get into med school with DUIs on their record. It's more common than you think. Obviously must people aren't open as much about it.

Found the pre-law student. 95% of the lawyers that I've met along with the 3 that are in my immediate family aren't necessarily what I'd call highly intelligent guys, so yea I don't think I'd have any trouble with the bar. I'm absolutely positive that anyone that scores above a 28 on the ACT could pass it with flying colors first try, and my point was that Gay probably will too. I get that all the lawyers in this thread want to feel smart and all by shitting on Gay but I'm pretty sure he'll be fine based on his work ethic, current success in school, and the fact that he comes across as a smart guy in interviews

southern is not a good law school, but he graduated cum laude, so there's a very high chance he will pass the bar. from the article, it seems like he doesn't have a job lined up yet. maybe the nfl's general counsel office? the legal market just isn't that great right now.

i know literally dozens upon dozens of people who have graduated from top tier law schools with misdemeanors such as that on their record.

On the bar you are not so much graded against an answer key but against the other people taking the test.

false, you are graded for correctness. in law school, yes, you are graded on a curve relative to how others performed. but no, on the bar you are not graded comparative to others. that is why pass rates are not a constant number.

You work as a lawyer I take it.

Look, I like the guy, played hs football with, graduated with him; I just didn't know you could get accepted into a law school program with that kind of charge.

I myself, have two degrees, and plan to get int lsuhsc Shreveport or New Orleans with my luck if I had that charge I wouldn't get in despite my accolades.

Actually I think he owns a restaurant in brusly.

So you can graduate with honors in law school? Didn't have honors in my grad program, maybe my ot school will.
