Yep, and I get the feeling that he didn't want to wait for the money to start coming in. Just a feeling, though...

I wasn't surprised at all at RR going pro this year. Not one single bit. I was surprised that other people were surprised, though.

The difference in a rookie contract in the first round and second round is huge. Next year he could be looking at 5 yrs/13 to 15 million. This year if he goes in the 2nd, hes looking at 5yrs 4-6 million.

If he has faith in his abilities he can try to negotiate a better (or at least more flexible) deal. We'll see. As I said, with the new rookie salary caps, the real money will be made on the second contract.

I don't see the Giants taking him, but I would be more than happy to be wrong...(crosses fingers for Reuben).

All Randle needs is a shot and he will get one. I don't understand so many people seem happy because Randle fell to the 2nd round? I guess most of these Ranters were first round draft choices? Anyway Randle goes in the second and he will make more money in a few years than anybody on this board makes in a lifetime.

That's a shame. I was hoping he'd go in the first.

Crazy how much Jefferson killed this guys junior year.

He was on pace to be the leading SEC receiver through 8 games

I feel bad for Reuben.

His (or his Dad's) misread of the situation probably cost him a couple of million.

I said it a few months ago. If he came out, he would end up drafted like Desean Jackson. Until this upcoming season, Jackson made $600K despite being a playmaker. $600K isn't chump change but first round guys get millions.

Hopefully Randle outplays the lesser WRs drafted in round 1 and finally gets truly paid in 2016. But he could have gotten paid in 2013 if he had been patient.

------------

It's amazing how everything Jefferson touched turned to ashes............yet Les still was determined to be hard headed and lose with him. Worst LSU QB of my lifetime and its not even close.
