re: Are the Olympics a massive science experiment? - The_LD
Is it advantageous to be taller in our civilization? Yes. It is proven that women are more attracted to taller men. Thus giving those men more choices in picking who to mate with. Do I have to connect ALL the dots for you? This is simple stuff here...

re: Are the Olympics a massive science experiment? - The_LD
Everyone is taking aim at me. Go to the fridge, and grab the jug of calm down. Chug it. Pour a glass. Do whatever you need to do to get it in your system people. I'm not even saying that I agree with what I am claiming in the original post. I believe there are good arguments on both sides....

re: Are the Olympics a massive science experiment? - The_LD
We are getting larger. Just because things have changed a lot in the last few hundred(or even few thousand) years, isn't going to change things that have been in progress for 200,000 year as "modern" humans. re: Are the Olympics a massive science experiment? - The_LD
I assure you that I do. I'm aware that evolution hinges on mutation and Darwinian Theory. The current timeline of the Olympics is definitely a tiny sample size in perspective, but you can't deny that our top athletes are more physically capable than before. I'm aware that technology has assisted ...

Are the Olympics a massive science experiment? - The_LD
It brings the best athletes from all over our planet together to compete. Records are extremely important, and continue to get broken. Drug testing, standards, and regulations keep the field fair over time. As a species, we are evolving. The Olympics proves this, does it not? Have fun ...
