The only place for fans to vent is on this site. ' I dont, for one minute think any rational 3/4/5 star recruit is gonna seriously reconsider commmiting here b/c of some stupid BS he heard about on a fan website. If I was a recruit, I wouldnt give two hoots in hell about what a bunch of goofy fans think. Players come here for the prestige, the chance to win it all, and for the exposure..and they will continue to come. '

You are wrong! This site is very well known by young high school kids. This should be obvious by the content of most postings. Also, they are very impressionable. It's the internet age and this is the de facto LSU site that our recruits use to follow the program. So get with the program. Stop the piling on and move on.

No, it's not. That's not to say that the behavior of too large a portion isn't absolutely fricking embarrassing...because it is.

You need to read on some of the other forums for other teams...same schit as here and, in some cases, much worse!

So, the fact that others programs ALSO have stupid fans should shield ours from being called out? Sure, that sounds brilliant.

quote:

Last time I looked, no one is picketing in front of the football offices, players aren't being attacked outside their dorm rooms, the stadium is not on fire, and no one has kidnapped Les's kids.

So is that what it takes to have bad fans...a fricking kidnapping?

False. This is one of the only places stupid people can bitch anonymously about LSU. You have every right to bore your fricking friends and family with your stupid crap all you want. but there you actually have to own up to those opinions.

These are kids that hold press conferences like they're the god damn president. who knows what does and does not affect their choices.

You're not.

Wait...given what a huge portion of our fans seem to think, we don't have any of these things.

Some of you self-righteous MF's need to quit telling others what they should/should not think or feel!

Irony...as valuable to the internet as titties and hyperbole!

Finally, Im not gonna slam CLM....Don't need to....1/9/12 speaks for itself. Fans who have followed this program for years know whats going on and no amount of sunshine-blowing is gonna change anyone's opinion.

You're a tool and exactly the problem with the fanbase. Enjoy attempting to bring down the program.

Thanks, Pirate, Les and junk.

I really hate the fact that some fans think that there is something good that can come from anonymously wailing about the program. Assuming you actually DO want the program to succeed, what positive thing comes out of calling out players and coaches in public with no personal ramifications? Are the players going to play better because of it? Are the coaches going to coach harder or smarter because of it?

I love LSU football, and like family, if I have a problem with something going on I'm going to deal with it within the confines of the system. You just don't air your dirty laundry in public and then act surprised when others notice it and think poorly of you.

You want to complain about Les Miles? Have at it. He has a boss and you can call him on the phone or write to him directly. By all means pass along all this free wisdom you have to the AD...

Doing it in public anonymously serves no purpose others than creating a bubble of negativity that permeates out from the center of the program, and shields the posters from their own comments.

Grow a sack and call Aleva.

Some, maybe a lot, don't want the program to succeed. They'd rather have a self fulfilling prophecy so their opinion of the staff can be proved right, rather than actually win championships. A substantial proportion of our fan base enjoys wallowing in misery and wants to bring everyone else down to their level.

I appreciate you for eloquently stating the case of so many of us. As far as I'm concerned YOU deserve the bus driver of the day award. Now go forth and take some of these other fools to school.
